Results of the 15-Day Optimization and Bonus Scene
Hello, Home Prisoners.
Over the past 15 days, we've worked intensively on optimizing the game, and now we want to share the results, breaking them down into three main points:
Episode Compatibility
During these days, our main task was to fix compatibility issues between the first two episodes and Episode 3. The implementation of "Free Roam" negatively affected them, causing some graphical side effects:
All found visual errors have been eliminated.
Unnecessary graphic layers causing errors were removed.
Now, you can play the game from the beginning to the point of "Free Roam" without obstacles. However, due to the non-linearity of our world, graphical distortions can still occur on other paths.
Episode 1 Optimization
We managed the first point even faster than expected, which allowed us to thoroughly focus on optimizing Episode 1:
Artificial pauses in all 13 scenes have been removed, speeding up each scene by 90%.
We also added some details to some scenes to enhance your gaming experience.
For example, players will now visually understand which buttons need to be pressed for various actions. In the kitchen scene with the wife, there is now an option to skip dialogs. However, you will still need to pay some attention to her for progression.
Deja Vu
"Deja Vu" now fully covers Episode 2.
The Deja Vu feature is no longer a hidden feature.
Starting the game, players can now choose from which episode they wish to start, after which Deja Vu will be automatically activated.
We managed this ahead of schedule, leaving us time to create a bonus scene.
Players will be able to check saves made at the end of Update 1. If the scene plays out successfully, it will be a good sign for us that we can increasingly rely on saves, not just on "Deja Vu".
Voting
Almost unanimously, it was decided to add the last scene at the festive dinner. We will start its visualization very soon.
Thank you for your continued support and for being a part of our journey!

Thanks Inqel for the update, this will be an amazing update not only for new players but others who want to replay the game from the begining seeing how the game has improved. I suggested something a while back it can be worked on later but will be very important, which is a status page for the characters showing their effections and trust towards others, just something for you to keep in mind later and to think of the best way to implement it, a simple way: it can be an option under 'items' and when you click it you can see effection % of all the characters, so it will only be names and %, nothing fancy
