Just Optimization or Mr. Jerome Again

At the beginning of Episode 3, you may have noticed a notification stating that Episodes 1 and 2 are undergoing reconstruction.

However, this alarming statement was more likely a translation error. On the last day, just before the release, we discovered a critical incompatibility between Episode 3 and Episodes 1 and 2. Following this, an urgent decision was made to isolate Episode 3.

There are two solutions to this problem:

• Use switches to separate Episode 1 and Episode 2 from Episode 3. Simply improve the speed of movement between rooms. A straightforward option.

• Transfer all the best features from Episode 3 to Episodes 1 and 2, in addition to the transfer—add optimization, a system of time intervals, and enhanced graphics. A slightly more complex option.

We decided to opt for the second solution, as we would inevitably reach this point sooner or later. And we are already working on it!

For example, you will no longer have to wait for the character to open their eyes after a nightmare in Episode 1; you can skip this with a button.

The full task of correcting errors, optimizing, and integrating the best features we currently have into Episodes 1 and 2 may take an indefinite amount of time, so we will be doing it in stages. At this stage, we would like to ask for 15 days from you.

Our first task will be:

• To connect all three episodes so that the player can seamlessly progress from the beginning of the game to the "free roam" stage.

• Finish the "Deja Vu" feature, as it will most likely not be continued.

The remaining time will be spent optimizing Episodes 1 and 2 and simplifying some interactive elements.

We thought that this might be an appropriate moment to visualize the last, unreleased scene with Mr. Jerome at the festive dinner and release it with this patch/update.

Option 1: The optimization update will be released on the 22nd-23rd of this month. A good choice if we want to continue our story as soon as possible.

Option 2: This could take an additional up to 15 days, depending on how we decide to detail the scene. We want to clarify right away; it's not a large scene. In this case, the update will be released between April 29th and May 8th.
