Weekly reports? DRM? Favorite game?

Hi,
1 . Since we are now releasing game updates almost every Friday, we have stopped posting Weekly reports that we used to post on Friday. (To keep the clutter down.)
So I wanted to ask, do you want us to create new reports called "The Monday Report" (sounds scary, "Theee Mondayyy Reeeport!"). These would cover what we are going to work on for the rest of the week.
To keep us accountable we would also check on what we worked on the week before to see if we managed to get everyhing done.

2. Like you may have noticed, we have added anti-piracy measures (DRM) in all our games. This is to prevent our games from being leaked on pirate sites 5 minutes after release.
How do you feel about it?
Does it negatively affect you?
Is it easy to use?
Do you have problems with it not working?
Please share your thoughts in the comments below.

3. Vote on your favorite game. So that we know what to focus on more. :)

And there is one extra question. We will share more information soon. It is something we have been working on in the background for months now.

Just vote on all the things that apply to you.

Thank you for your time.
Best Regards,
Inceton

Inside Jennifer was great. I hope Lust theory season 3 is being released soon. Will your DRM decision stop you from releasing on GOG? That's where I buy all my games and have LT season 3 wishlisted

1. Monday reports sound cool. We'll know what day to expect an update no matter what information that update holds. 2. DRM is fine. I understand wanting to prevent the leaking. 3. I'm loving Thot On Trial right now. Definitely my favorite and can't wait to see where it goes. 4. Has doing a part 2 of Inside Jennifer ever been a discussion? Would love to see what naughty things she's up to now and not only would the players have different endings to choose but also a different beginning pending which path they ended with in the original. I like the Simp Of The Year ending when she leaves town.

" Like you may have noticed, we have added anti-piracy measures (DRM) in all our games. This is to prevent our games from being leaked on pirate sites 5 minutes after release. How do you feel about it?" One word? Terrible. I thought that the fairy tale of DRM protecting purchases has mostly died but unfortunately this does not seem to be the case. Depending on the kind of DRM you are using (which in most cases might even cost you additional money) it is rare that these things won't get cracked in short time anyway. Mor important though there's still the strange idea that everybody who can get the game for free would otherwise buy it ... this is not true at all. Inceton has a pretty loyal customer base I'd say (as far as I am concerned I buy everything they put out on GOG immediately) and they would never do anything that would hurt them financially anyway. If Inceton really thinks DRM is the way to go it would also mean that GOG is not a valid option for them anymore because GOG demands their games to be DRM-free. I have over 1200 games on GOG ... not despite but because they are DRM-free. I am aware that I am still buying a licence in the end but it gives me a feeling of freedom to know that I will be able to play my games whenever I want. That being said, I hope tha Inceton reconsiders and brings their missing games to GOG as well :) Regarding my favorite game? That is pretty hard. I adore "Lust Theory" (waiting to buy it on GOG) but the feelings I had when playing "Returning to Mia" where out of this world (I still remembver the one moment when I changed my path and roled back just because I could not take the emotional reaction). I also like Inside Jennifer a lot because of the many possible branching options ... it is a pity that some of them remain broken until this point.

Hello everyone, I voted immediately, but am only now getting around to replying because my answer will be longer. Here is my opinion on the individual topics: 1) I find DevLogs super interesting and I enjoy reading them and always comment on them. But I don't think they need to be weekly, every two weeks is fine. And it doesn't always have to be on Fridays, I'd be happy to read them on another day of the week. Why? Because many developers publish their DevLogs on Fridays. 2) I don't believe much in DRMs. Basically, you always punish the innocent, in this case your supporters who support you with their money every month. At the same time, you're not stopping piracy with this measure. Your games won't be on these sites a second later. I'm now over 50 years old and have seen a lot in the games industry, including the fall of the Amiga or the C64, partly due to unlimited piracy. But I'm of the opinion that these people who pay nothing for your games wouldn't do so if they were protected by DRM. The money and time you spend on DRM can be put to better use elsewhere. Another developer of AVNs has been trying for years to develop their own launcher to stop piracy, but to no success. They are slowly coming to the conclusion that they can save themselves the trouble. And what good is it if you punish the paterons with a DRM, while people buy the game via Steam, copy the files, upload them and then return the game via Steam. 3) Unreal Therory is still my favorite, but I like Summer with Mia even more. Here I would like a remake of part 1 ( just from the graphics) and part 2 as well, but that you also have other endings if needed. You go to so much trouble with the other ladies and in the end it's always just Mia and the MC. Extra question: I have followed two such projects in the past. I ignored the first one straight away because it was completely illegal (it demanded money and the developers knew nothing about it). The second project was much more promising, but here too the developer was working illegally. He doesn't charge money for the use, but the developers still don't know that their games can be found there. However, he works with a modder and there are mods for every game. You have to pay to use them. The presentation etc. is really good and I've written to him several times asking him to make something legal out of it, but that seems to be too much work for him. Basically, I think it's all a good idea. You could do so much with it, e.g. link the whole thing to Patreon. I have a lot more ideas for this, but that would go beyond the comment function.

Out of the game selections listed, lust theory is my favourite but I'm gonna sound like a broken record here and say inside Jennifer is by far my favourite game that inceton team has made

I'm simply a Jessica fan. Whether LT, ULT, or ROT - I'm a happy guy. I get my money's worth on Steam and the NTR page for ROT (which has great potential). If DRM helps the developers keep their money to make more Jessica content, so be it. Piracy is an internet plague I hope can be cured one day. From the Jessica fan base, we'll only cry out for more! :-D

There is no such thing as undefeatable DRM. All you will succeed in doing is causing problems for your supporters. Platforms like Steam succeed despite being DRM because the benefits outweigh the hassle. Unfortunately, the benefits are not from a single developer-- it's the entire infrastructure-- so, one developer (or a small group of them) would not re-create the Steam phenomenon.

So, I bought the game at oppai-man and and now I have to pay a subscription to keep playing?

Limite of Sky. For me the best visual Novel game ever made. A full 100, not even "step of debauchery", "a wife and a mother" or "amnesia" can stand near Limit of Sky. And all are very good games. I Hope and Wish tò see Sky comes back. Socks scenes was truly Amazing by the way. Needs more of that kind.

my only concern is that you group both Incenton Games and Incenton Games NTR games in to the same list under the none NTR chat, i like both but preferer the NTR, not everyone here will, i would hate low votes for an NTR game in a none NTR chat sway opinion on development

Larry · April 14, 2025

While I agree I understand development can take a while and what seemed like a good idea at the time when you take a step back and look at it again can give you a different perspective. I just think of it as foreplay….

For myself, I would say rather than picking a favorite game, could the studio just pick a single game and focus on finishing that before starting the next one? My biggest frustration as a customer is being strung along waiting for that last 5-10% of a game to drop.

yeah, i feel like there are some games, like Lust Theory, which brought a lot of us here, are being delayed on progress, and every time we download a new version, it's like 20 minutes worth of enjoyment but if we were to be able to get a few hours worth of improvement and jump from version X.Y.1 to version X.Y.2 for example as opposed to X.Y.1.01... i'd feel more enjoyment out of a story that isnt constantly interrupted with "this story will continue in next release"

BufordKCaine · April 14, 2025

Originally came in support of Mia, then fell for LT and now LB. Development seemed to get chaotic for a while with projects started and quickly dropped or prematurely ended (Inside Jennifer, LustyVerse, Limits of Sky). I discovered these games and your studio via pirated copies (try before buy) and decided the games were worth my support. Recent decisions to include DRM and drop native support for Linux have been giving me pause to reconsider my support.

I don't mind "The Monday Report." I'll read it 😁. DRM works perfectly for me… I had no issue with it 👍🏻. SWM/RTM will always be my favorite series from you. Follow by LT. I still want the Mia/Sadie Throuple Ending for RTM... always holding out hope for an additional update. 😁. I WILL PLAY RTM all over again just to get that Ending! As for the current game… it goes 1st: ROT - because of IG Multiverse; love the reference to crossover events from the original games! I'm skipping all the NTR content, though. Like I previously said, "I'm JUST too attached to our IG ladies (mostly Mia's/LT's crew) to see them with other male characters, not being their respective MCs. I'll treat ROT as Mia's MC harem game with LT MC as the secondary MC and SB/POD MCs as third and Minor MCs. I'll protect the other respective MGs (like Hailey & Ariana, etc.), unless it's with Mia's MC (HE IS MY BIAS MC; HE'LL GET ALL THE IG LADIES 🥰)! Here's to hoping for some more MC & Vivian scenes 😛! I wanted more after that threesome 😍! Most importantly!!! I just want more content/stories with my beloved IG characters (mainly the Mia/LT crew) 😋. The POD/SB/LB casts aren't bad. It's just that Mia and LT are just on a HIGHER tier for me (they hold a special place in my heart; LT, or as it was called EOL, helped me found IG, but it was SWM that captured my heart). 2nd: LT - No need for an explanation here. 3rd: LB - This game has the most potential out of the current and previous games/casts to get into my favorites beside Mia and LT. 4th: UWN - It's not bad; I enjoy it. And I can't wait for more content. I haven't gotten to playing TOT, and my laptop can't handle Unreal Engine, so I can't play ULT 😂.

I like the product you guys are making so as long as you keep making quality stories I will keep paying. LT, RoT, LB and undercover in that order. Unreal has potential and still needs work but I am hopeful.

For same reasons DRM doesn’t work on my windows laptop. Ich can only pass it on my Apple computers. On windows theres always an error within the game.

Z678Vash · April 14, 2025

I stopped being a paid member when you started using DRM, so my answer is pretty clear. I don't support it with other gaming companies and I will not support it with you. Period.

M
Mausthemighty · April 14, 2025

To be honest I'd rather have you guys on Steam instead of patreon. Patreon may be more lucrative for you, but as a costumer I like Steam better.

While I strongly agree that reoccurring payments are definitely very expensive over the time, its at least some opportunity for us german citizens to get these games.

Quick question regarding the DRM. If I stop being a patron at a later date, would I lose access to the game or is there some kind of history being tracked.

C
Cyber · April 14, 2025

I had payment issues after a month long trip so I didn't pay one of the patreon months but it was a whole month after release of the latest version back then with DRM... and I lost access to that game version that I already paid for and supported by the time of the release. That's why I'm against DRM especially when hackers can still crack it anyway later. I now have Patreon again but it was frustrating that I paid for support for that version already and was a Patreon even ar diamond tier in the past and have been supporting this game for months and yet I got denied access to play my own game because of my work schedule and then suddenly card issues...made me feel like I didn't get to own my own paid game... I should have had access to anything I was patreon for by the time I got it... I would say that DRM can be used for silver or gold level Patreon but once it gets to bronze, it would have been weeks by then so take it off and definitely don't lock previous release versions behind DRM... It's not affecting your hackers anymore, just your hard paying patreon supporters for no reason

LT3, LB and UwN take a tragically long time to boot. First, the launcher takes a long time to start, once I confirm that I am a patron at the appropriate level, the launcher hangs for sometimes even 2-3 minutes and only then the game starts. When game is runnig it is ok, but before it's bad...
