It is on this holy day of April, we are honored to present you with this month's build of Slaves of Rome (SoR v0.8.5)! This build IS a full, new, big build – we just named it 0.8.5 and not 0.9 so we don't come near the v1.0 too fast.
YOU CAN NOW BECOME A ROMAN AND PLAY THE GAME HERE
We know. We know you want to be Romans. Have no fear. Just like in real Rome, there is only one thing standing in your way.. money! With time, the republic may become more.. easy going on that front. For now however.. the senate has ruled! If you feel this is unjust and want to ask to enter Rome without payment you may try our free tour of the city (public build) and feast your eyes with its glory.
Main New Things This (v0.8.5) Build Features:
VR Support (optional) – You can now play the whipping scene in VR! To do so, just play with the VR plugged in and the game will ask you if you want to go VR once you can use it.
New Sex System - 'Hands Free' & 'Mini Game' modes you can choose from. Plus improved SFX (sound effects).
New Slave – In the deserts of Arabia, you'll find another new exotic slave you can get familiar with.
New Punishment - 'Public Display' is back refactored to all its glory. Plus fruit/vegetable throwing with the addition of a new pose to choose from.
New Quests – As usual, new quests await you of you know where to look!
New characters: 'Wife - Amelia'. Located at your home (above dungeon). Plus a story & quest.
Bug fixes - Some small fixes here and there to existing code. Properly showing previously hidden male genitalia. Maxed slave has everything unlocked without the need to do it every time she is bought.
Optimization – We worked a LOT on optimizing the game. Both CPU and GPU performance was improved a lot, the GPU improvement should be dramatic.

New Slaves – As usual ;).
More VR scenes
Cloths and Skins – Still can't promise 100% but we are working on slaves cloths and skins system. Not done yet, but getting there.
New missions, quests, slaves and story-lines – As usual ;).
A lot of new story development and story lines.
We are growing fast, and we expect to have those upgrades within about 6-10 weeks. An official date will follow.

Hey! Is there going to be a patch for this version to fix the clothed public nudity issue? :p
we posted a fix for this version but.. can you explain which fix you are talking about? I'm not sure we fixed that. If you are talking about the guys underwear it should be fixed in v0.8.6
how do you start VR? I thought the whole game was VR, maybe I misread :)

Hi, I really like new sex UI and the VR scene is just georgeous! Please continue :-) I have just one concern … using Oculus Rift S I cannot really see the text shown in the VR scene as it gets out of the picture. Do you plan to use some more sophisticated slaves trade interface? e.g. I would like to buy two Julias (and it is possible) one for make money and one to keep but when I sell one Julia I cannot buy another basic one to make more money. Or at least I couldn't in older versions and I am kinda afraid to do it now. And one last question, I play both on my laptop and desktop PC with game stored on shalder network folder and it works but saves are stored locally. Can I put saves on shared folder somehow so I can use the same save files using both computers? The game is great and making progress, thank you for it :-)
Thanks for the nice words! We are planning a lot of things! Hopefully we'll get to all that. As for the saves.. I'm not sure actually.. but you can cope them from one folder to the other
Save files don't carry over in this build?
Sadly no - we do have some good news on that front and in next builds they should move between versions! :)
