I love it; I have reimagined my tool with some of your new techniques. Suggestion. Since stocks and 401k mutual funds are vital components of a Retirement Plan, It would be nice to add/include stock appreciation year-over-year. For example, [add starting date of shares, number of shares, current starting value]; at the end of the year [capture the date 12/31, number of shares (may have more shares due to dividend purchases), and current value through the date]. This way, one can see the complete picture of retirement planning if multiple stock/mutual fund entries are added during the year (only the last entry is calculated for the year-over-year evaluation). Also, include amortization to see the target payoff date and interest payments as they affect the retirement planning.
Thanks so much for the nice suggestions. I may add this into a new stock portfolio application because it would be really great to see that into a complete template. This is a great idea and I will see what i can do. Thanks so much
