PTO Tracker: Review & Feature, Fix or Focus Request [Gold & Silver]
Hello Members,
The training we have for this week that I have shared with you was about the PTO Tracker. If you have not seen it yet, you can view it right here on YouTube.
Now that the training has been released, I am looking for your feedback to make this even better, just for you, our incredible Patreon Members.
So, what Feature can I add for you? Did you find an issue you want me to fix? Or is there a particular area you would like me to focus on?
Please comment your ideas and feedback to any of these below and I will do my best to not only create an updated workbook but release a private training video next Monday, right here on Patreon.
I am looking forward to hearing from you and thanks so much for your support.

This is the formula I've come up with so far but I just get a 0. =IF($G143="","",SUMPRODUCT(AND((PTO_StartDate<=K$11),AreaOfWork="Outer Packing")*AND((PTO_Days>=K$11-PTO_StartDate+1),AreaOfWork = "Outer Packing"))/COUNTIF(AreaOfWork,"Outer Packing"))
Hi and thanks you can use SumIf based on the the department name, so that you can first total how many people are in a specific department, then divided that again by sumif, the total people in a specific department AND who have a specific day off. I hope this helps and thanks so much.
Hi Randy, Thanks for the Tutorial. It has come in very handy as I am currently building this application for my workplace. I have a question regarding the formula for counting the percentage of people who have taken a leave on a certain day. At my workplace, we have multiple departments. How do I change the formula to output the percentage of people who have taken a leave from a department instead of all departments?
Hi and thanks, response is below
Hi Randy, currently it is based on fixed working days and days off, would it be possible to add flexible working, that may be 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off or any other roster pattern, also having different shifts during the day e.g. Early, Late and Night shifts. I appreciate this could be done manually but that would be time consuming. It could then be used to approve vacation leave based on staff coverage.
Hi Gary, thanks for the great ideas, Certainly that is possible. It would take a good amount of work and time to be customize however Excel is fully capable of that. If this is something you would like help with, I would be glad to refer a qualified developer. I hope this helps and thanks so much.
Also unrelated question: Can you share macro enabled workbooks? ie having multiple people making edits to it.
Hi Sandy, you can check the video here and download it using the links in the description https://youtu.be/aKV5seZmiBs I hope this helps and thanks so much.
This question has more to do with data analysis. Would it be possible to add more info for each employee? example: total leaves taken on certain days. This way you can track if certain employees are alway taking leaves on certain days.
Yes, absolutely that is possible. The leave days are already kept in a database, however you can then analyze the data based on weekdays and any other type of info. I have something very special for this update coming next Monday on this, right here on Patreon, so you won't want to miss it. thanks again
