Job Application Manager Update [Gold & Silver]
Hello Members!
In this week’s Feature, Fix or Focus, we take last week’s Job Application Manager training, and in this update, I added a feature called 'Job Documents' which is suggested by Miguel.
Please don’t forget to add your requests for your own Feature, Fix or Focus each week when I post a new video, right here on Patreon. Each week I will either add a new feature, fix a bug or an issue, or create another training with a special focus on any part, all based on your feedback and comments.
Make sure to view the brand new and updated training and download the updated workbook in the attachments below.
As always, great to have you here, and thanks so much for your support.

Hi Randy, Thx for the file Unfortunately it didn't work, same result Look: https://photos.app.goo.gl/xHwZ9Le8v5t7q3fb7 you see the thump image and preview
Yeah i see so you may consider joining the Facebook group and posting your issues. Someone else may have had similar issues. for now that is the only resource we have for support. Thanks for your understanding.
Hi Randy, Weird because i have multi computers :) And same results
Hi Ian check out our Document workflow manager which has similar code to preview documents here https://www.dropbox.com/s/e9a3swtqh57se85/Document_Workflow_Manager.xlsm?dl=1 See if the same issue persists
Hi Randy, Yeah it may sound weird... but i don't have an facebook account. So i guess it stops there then. I use your code under Sub Jobs_ShowDocPreview The only thing i do= adding a filename under the sheet JobDB But still not working with pdf Photo screenshot please see Url https://photos.app.goo.gl/xHwZ9Le8v5t7q3fb7
Hi Ian thanks i am not sure what is causing this as it could also be related to your machine.
Hello Randy it seems i can't display PDF files?? it only show a icon and filename. Word files i can open with preview but not with pdf With word i get =EMBED("PDF";"") With pdf i get =EMBED("Packager Shell-object";"") Any solution please? Thanks
Hi Ian, when displaying nearly any type of an object in Excel (Excel, PDF, Word) this line of code should work, as long as the file path is correct .OLEObjects.Add(FileName:=FilePath, Link:=False, DisplayAsIcon:=False).Name = "DocPrev" Make sure DisplayAsIcon is False as this will display the entire document preview and not just as an icon. I hope this helps and thanks so much.
Awesome addition! Thank you very much! Just one note... In the JobDocs_PrevDoc sub. there is an Exit Sub command after turning off ScreenUpdating. Just a Heads UP! Probably shouldn't ever hit that since the File path should be there already.
Thanks so much for catching that Robert. I have modified the code and updated with a GoTo statement. Thanks again.
