Weekly(ish) Teaser - October 17

FFS so if we can't shit talk you on Steam anymore, where are we supposed to leave a bad review if we thought your game was rubbish?

The following was my Steam review of Projekt Passion I wrote months ago. WARNING!!! It's LONG. What's more, I also posted my most recent remarks on the series. It's a separate post following this novella-length review 😣 Hey, you did ask us to post our reviews, Classy 😉 The Projekt Passion series is Firefly with lots and lots of sex. And college-age characters along with plenty of college humor, except better because most of it is character-based. What makes this game exceptional, not only in this genre, but in all of gaming, is the writing. Apart from the humor – I’ve never laughed so often in a game - the story is rich, the characters are deep and distinct, and it does not stoop to good versus evil…well…until the end of episode 2 perhaps. You care about the characters and not just because they’re often endearing or cute or sexy. Rather, they are – even the antagonists - going through that search for personal identity and meaning that all of us do at that age, though most of us give up after awhile and just become a**holes. It’s a captivating game that’s evocative and involving on multiple levels. The sex scenes vary. Some are pretty good. A few are very good. They too are often played for laughs. How else do you explain sex with a glowing neon-green boneless jelly woman who somehow has a great ass and amazing boobs? It's also the only game in the genre with a likable male protagonist who’s simply a good person and doesn’t need a freak-of-nature penis to satisfy his many, many partners. The women are also not freaks of nature. No ludicrously ginormous boobs or absurdly large perfect sphere butts. The only unusual physical aspects to them are flat, flat tummies and thighs that shall never meet. They have sex with Cowboy because they care about him…and they’re very horny. And he cares about them. A lot. And he’s extremely horny. Finally, no modest budget game has more cleverly handled the limitations of the scene creation and management engine (Renpy in this case) and thus extended the production values of the content. We hear most characters voices through voice acted cut scenes. We are freed from a single POV, albeit briefly, through other bonus scenes. In these we see what was happening elsewhere. I only hope that the series continues. First time I’ve ever felt THAT after finishing one of these games 😉

By sheer coincidence, I wrote the following early this morning regarding AVNs and why they're so limited, because they're essentially created by one person, and nobody is good at everything required. "Thus, I marvel at some AVN creators who can get multiple things right. Classy Lemon, creator of Projekt Passion, can write humor like a mainstream comedy writer, create the most outrageous sex scenes that are both arousing yet make fun of the human sex drive, and write moving stories that can make you weep. His MC - Cowboy - seduces women through the most proven ways ever known: he's funny and he's a true mensch. Plus he does things with Ren"Py that no one else does. Not saying everyone else sucks. Not by any means. It's just almost weird that just one guy can do so many things so well. It's not normal 😆 "And not everyone even likes his games. Most folks go for those horribly vanilla gals in bikinis who all somehow look the same (to me) and are barely legal. Too young to be interesting (to me). And rely on the magic stallion-sized penis because they can't write seduction dialog worth a damn. Just about everything a male MC in almost every goddamn AVN says is, thus, moronic. But when the gals see the magic cock....oy vey!"

One of those reviews was bitching about it being funny. Not that they didn't find it funny, but the fact that it IS funny. Also, their choice of words and grammar make it clear that they're all either really young and stupid, or they never matured past middle school age mentality.

I wouldn’t take those reviews seriously. Have you read them? Some are neutral but just putting negative and some are just straight up stupid like the one saying Lust Women is better. Spoiler: it ain’t.

It's alright Lemon. You can't please everyone. I'll drop my review and hopefully that will even things out. In terms of comedy, your AVN is the best.
