Magical Quest Diorama

For this diorama, we chose to use the characters' very first outfits from the game — Mickey in his knight armor, equipped with a boxing glove spear and a shield, and Donald with his classic improvised gear: a pot for a helmet, a barrel as armor, and a hammer. Since this scene represents the beginning of the adventure, we also included elements from that first stage, like collectible cubes and a few other iconic details that we'll be showing you.

We’ve packed this statue with collectible details, like apples and heart containers, bringing even more life to the scene. Familiar enemies also make an appearance — like the pesky little corn man who's always trying to slow us down, and the scarecrow, which is actually made up of two mischievous, hungry crows.

We also had to think carefully about the scenery. We considered many different elements from that stage of the game — honestly, I could make a whole list of things that didn’t make it in, either because they were too big or simply didn’t fit the look and feel I had in mind for the statue.

That’s when we decided to add the flags, since the stage had that festive atmosphere, and they worked perfectly to capture that vibe.

We also included the tapestries that hang over the windows, which help convey the environment better, along with the poles scattered around the scene.

And of course, the collectible blocks — I probably don’t even need to mention them, right? They had to be there!

Putting all these ideas and decisions together, we knew we needed Mickey and Donald to feel connected — like they were working as a team. So, we decided to pose them in the middle of a coordinated attack, both charging forward. If you place them side by side, you can clearly see that sense of teamwork!

That’s the creative process behind building a statue — we take little elements from here and there, build around the concept, and slowly everything starts to come together.

And with all those pieces in place, we finally have our Mickey and Donald’s Magical Quest Diorama!
