Donkey kong for February !!!
We were commissioned by a very nice guy to make models based on the covers of the Donkey Kong Country cartridges.
We made this model for him but we want to make something similar for you from one of the two most recent games in the franchise.
I don't think there are many Donkey Kong Country statues out there and we've received a lot of messages from people who like these cartoon models from games and movies.
Have you played one of these two games and what do you think of the idea? I played both with my brother who works with me and the part about losing two lives when you both die in the stage bothered me a bit but I got over it haha

Here are all the views of the statues with the Zingers, the classic banana trees, gnawty hiding in the back and Donkey and Diddy Kong starring in the statue along with Rambi.
We'd like to do something in this style but with the new Donkey Kong models and more colorful with more elements, as we don't need to base ourselves on the cartridge cover we can add more things to the statue and give it more movement, we still don't know if it will be from Tropical Freeze or Country Returns, we'd love to know what you think !!!
PS: the Moonkinght preview is coming tomorrow, we've had a lot of requests for Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank among others, we're already preparing ideas ...

I would lean towards Donkey Kong Country Returns art style as it hits such a strong nostalgic vibe for me. but if you were to do both, I would have no choice but to have them both made of course haha!!
We're tempted to do both haha I love the island theme, the sand, the water, the trees and the forest animals make everything vibrant and colorful. I think the scales are tipping in favor of Country Returns haha
I would love the donkey kong models. Also because you have done moonknight, I would love for someone to do the characters from the Team Youngblood comics and a series of GI Joe characters also.
Perfect then, let's make this Donkey Kong model the best it can be!!! And about GI Joe I really like the Ninjas Snake Eyew and Shadow Storm Maybe something of theirs would be cool
Tropical freeze could be fun to paint with the ice
Yes !!! I wanted to find a way to use crystal resin without 3D printing, the kind that is transparent like glass, to make some details of our statues and in a way that would be feasible for you too. This one with ice would be a great opportunity to try. I'm very tempted to do it now haha
Tropical Island has a better scene for a diorama.. But nothing beats the classics on SNES and where it all began! 😁
Yes, I agree I think because it's a tropical climate the statue is more colorful and vibrant. But I like the new ones, you know But to this day I play the old ones every year and they look just as good as the first time we played them. 😆
