I just finally posted a reaction to the Model/Actriz album!! Cinderella is like one of my songs of the year. I haven’t heard the new lorde album either, but tbh I’m afraid it’s not for me…I don’t want to be negative about it though, because I love Lorde as an artist, but don’t always click with her. My favorite project of hers is actually her first EP with the love club and biting down on it.

Hi Fern, thank you for reacting! I agree with EVERYTHING you said about Rebecca black. She does have an EP that you might enjoy listening to on your own, it’s a little less hyperpop, more bubblegum, but very fun. Also agree with everything you said about Marina lol. I think POP (written on the dress) has a double meaning and is also the acronym for princess of power. She dropped this video before the album name (I think?), so I’m pretty sure it was a hint :)

Also, yes! Haim are the 3 Haim sisters.

I find Cinderella to be really emotional for me, I believe it's just about the shame society puts on men and gay men for wanting anything feminine, and how we internalize that, and that all comes to a head in the motif of his 'cinderella birthday party.' As an innocent child, he saw Cinderella and liked it, so he wanted the party, but was then taught shame and internalized homophobia by society and people around him, causing him to reject that part of himself.

Thank you. I think you were spot on with your interpretation of Cinderella. Instead of vapor rub try smelling Frankincense or Rosemary essential oil. It helps open up the blood flow into the brain.
