Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection—VR gameplay on Eurogamer
Ian Higton has done it again!! Watch the video above to get a sense of what playing Uncharted in VR is all about []-D
Please make sure to like and subscribe to the Eurogamer channel, first of all because they're awesome, and also because VR and people like Ian who work hard to keep it from descending into oblivion need to be supported any way we can!
In the video Ian is only playing the second title in the collection (Uncharted: The Lost Legacy). However the mod, which you can find here, also supports Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, which is a somewhat lighter game in terms of performance and CPU/GPU requirements.
If you have the same kind of issue as Ian does in the video with shooting, please remember that in all my mods it's always best to disable any form of aim assist provided by the game. Aim assist is meant for console players, because aiming with the right thumbstick is so difficult and awkward. My mods replace that with gaze-based aiming, which most players find quite intuitive and accurate, so aim assist is not needed and will in fact interfere with what you're trying to do.

I tried using Luke Ross's VR but it will not work on uncharted what am I doing wrong I keep asking this question all the other games work except for except for uncharter it keeps saying won't work on the application
I try
tried all instructions for SWO, jsut a 2d screen, flicker/juttering and crashes on me. using win 11 rtx4090
I can't start a game from the main menu bc the HUD is way too big. Can't see anything. Why? Quest 3 with VD. The HUD options in the REAL menu don't do anything.
Unfortunately, Uncharted doesn't have the ability to resize the HUD that Luke has added into later games. I'd recommend setting a lower resolution or PPD and then setting up whatever game you want to play that way you just have to hit A or whatever button to get into the game from the main menu. Once you are in the game, you can use the pause menu to change settings etc because it is a 2d screen that is easily visible.
when I am in chapter 12 it would crash before jumping into the water in the island cave. I have used the force 2D in the pause screen but the camera angle doesn't allow me to see behind the character. How do I return to the original 2D version of the game because eliminating the 4 files for VR doesn't same to make the game star again.
Yeah, there is some issue with crashing at that part due to something with the ocean (can't remember what exactly). Just change dxgi.dll to dxgi_bak.dll and play through that section flat then you should be good in VR again.
This is one of the best experiences I had in VR. Thank you for your great mod. Also I haven't experienced a single crash and everything is sharp and beautiful. Running 7900xtx
Glad you are enjoying it :) PS, you may want to catch your 7900xtx 🙄
Strange issue on this one... Everytime I press continue game it crashes,,, If I start a new game its fine! any thoughts?
Are you using DLSS? If so, try turning it off to see if that helps. Does it happen if you use a low resolution? Could try verifying files (or reinstall) if you are on Steam as well as running the config file again just to see if anything got corrupted. You could also try running the .exe as Admin just for the heck of it. Have had a few people with game crashes when they die but nobody with this particular issue yet. You are the lucky first :)
is it suppose to look this blurry?
You are looking at the game much closer than intended to you will need a higher resolution to make things look better up close. It is possible that you have motion blur or depth of field on which will make things blurry but what resolution are you playing at and what game? Also depends on the game and its textures. HD or higher res textures always help as well. Then there is the games antialiasing like TAA which uses blur to get rid of aliasing. If it is Uncharted, you can switch out DLSS versions, I haven't tried 3.5 on it yet.
Hi, Detroit: Become Human, can this game be converted to vr mod?
you can play in 3D reshade. As good as it gets. no one will make VR mod for this old camel. nice game though although slow and partly boring.
I know it's quite a few years old and there is already a sort of a broken VR experience but any chance we might get to see a proper VR mod for Ark: Survival Evolved? Me and a few pals have always wanted to experience this in full VR, some of the best gaming experiences ever playing that game! Just an idea I wanted to throw out there. Thanks for your good work!
For the love of GOG no! There is probably no way I would be able to resist getting sucked back in if it had decent VR and then my wife would divorce me :( I already have a Chorizo obsession, its so much worse with Dinosaurs. That is the only game I ever spent 3k hours on. I do hope they add in VR support for 3 though. There is also a chance that the UE injector may work with the Unreal Engine 5 version that is supposed to release this year.
Any hopes of looking at STARFIELD? For the next one?
The next one is in testing right now :) Perhaps the next one after the next one? Only the Luke knows.
hi! :-)
I am not French but I just want to say hi! 👋
I just subscribed for the cyberpunk 2077 mod, I'm french, sorry for my poor english, why nobody answer me?
This is not a live chat where someone just hangs out all day answering questions :) I will usually get back to you within the day though. You can experiment and use whatever version of DLSS you want. There are youtube videos comparing versions but 3.5 seems to work really well for CP. I think the image quality of balanced mode is actually really good and can get you some additional performance if you want to play with higher settings at max res. 2.5.1 still seems to have the least amount of ghosting for distant objects overall but I am really happy with 3.5 so far.
do i have to use dlss 3.5 on cyberpunk 2077? (I have a 4090) or, it is more beautiful without dlss ?
How does one navigate the REAL tabs using game controller (no help function to explain navigation)? Also, I notice that 3 different methods are used in-game to bring up REAL options: left/right triggers, left/right thumbsticks, and back/start buttons. Some trial and error occurs when switching between REAL modded games, if one forgets which control scheme is used for the game.
Hold x button (xbox controller) and use the shoulder buttons to navigate the tabs. I think it is square for PlayStation???
Thanks for the suggestion. I was able to get through the problematic area in Chapter 12 using the renamed .dll. However, the constant crashing has made the game unplayable in Chapter 13 with VR. I will share the requested files.
Thanks Ross! I also crash using your saves so I have sent them off to Luke along with the other files and my log file. Hopefully he'll be able to troubleshoot and it will help fix whatever is causing the crashes in this section of the game :)
What is the best way to temporarily remove the REAL mod, once installed (simply removing initial install files does not appear to be sufficient)? I have encountered a hard crash in Uncharted 4, Chapter 12 (At Sea). In fact, the game froze or crashed several times in this chapter. For example, after solving each section of the ring puzzle, each cut scene only started when I quit to Main menu and restarted game. Finally, the game crashes whenever I get near/climb in boat, after solving full puzzle. The crashing persists no matter how I set REAL mod parameters (disable VR, force 2D virtual screen, reduced pixels per degree, and so on). All Steam game files verify correctly.
Yeah, another person had crashes in the same boat section but when I tried their save it worked fine for me. Try renaming dxgi.dll to dxgi_bak.dll to disable the mod, then just change back to enable again. If you want to also shoot me a gave save at chronowake@gmail.com I'll give it a shot as well. Wouldn't hurt to link a copy of your RealVR64.log file either.
way to setup camera closer?
Not currently, no.
does this support first person at all?
No, no plans on adding it in currently either. Always a chance someone else makes a FP mod but I doubt it.
Uncharted both games: I get permanent blue screen crashes and/or Reverb G2 / Windows Mixer Reality Portal disconnects (e.g. Error Code 7-5). It's pretty unlikely that I set some R.E.A.L mod settings wrongly, since Cyperpunk2077 runs fine with the VR mod. Interestingly it worked kind of ok (except occasional blue screens) firstly when I played A thief's end, but after I tried Lost Legacy the serious Headset disconnects startet (also when I switched back to A thief's end). Rig: 4090 and 13900K. Any idea? May v10_2_0 fix it?
Haven't had that issue with either Uncharted game but my G2 will occasionally still have usb/power issues as it has since I first got it on release. Was a nightmare when I first got it and I couldn't use it for months. If I play heavily modded Skyrim VR it will get blue screens as well. Sounds like some kind of power/usb issue, have you tried using another port or unplugging other peripherals to see if that helps?
Ian allways with AAA VR :)
Pls try to fix the hud! So grenades, ammo etc is visible! That would make a great experience in VR perfect
