Ahem
This one brought a little tear to my eye :'-)
Actually, Brandon kept this a secret from me until the video was ready, and I hesitated a little before reposting it, because I don't want to give the idea that we're self-celebrating or something.
But Brandon is just too good at what he does, and his channel needs all the likes and subscribes you guys can give him!!!
The conversion should be ready in a few days. Today there will also be a major update to CP2077 which I hope won't break VR too much. If it does though, I might publish a temporary release just to fix the mod before the new conversion comes out. One way or the other, see ya soon!

Just in case this was missed, I'm copy/pasting Cypren's comment from a week ago: "Hey Luke, just wanted to note two things here: 1.) Legal precedent in this case is firmly on your side; see Galoob v. Nintendo (9th cir. 1992). The core of that analysis was that the product modified gameplay in real time, did not create any durable copies, did not incorporate any of the game’s original source code or assets, and worked with multiple games rather than being built on the foundation of a single title. Sound familiar? 2.) You can file DMCA counter-notices with Patreon to rebut these strikes. This is a “put up or shut up” response: the publisher claiming infringement has 14 days to file a formal lawsuit or they’re acknowledging the strike is invalid. Strikes which have counter-notices do not count against you for Patreon’s repeat-infringer analysis. There is of course some risk to this approach that CDPR might actually sue you, but the precedent is sufficiently clear (and you should communicate that to them so they can’t say they didn’t know) that it would be a losing lawsuit. And the fact that you notified them in advance would put you in a very strong position to recoup fees and damages if they choose to sue you anyway. That makes this an exceptionally poor risk from their POV, and publishers generally do not sue middleware companies for exactly this reason. The key is to ensure that you are framing your software properly in discussions with CDPR as generic middleware with game-specific compatibility patches, not as a game-specific “mod” (which could be contested as a derivative work). This accords with how it actually works in practice, so I don’t think that will be hard. This isn’t formal legal advice and you should consult an attorney before making a move here. But I strongly suspect you’re in a more solid position than you think."
Yeah, I agree we should get away from using the term mod in the future. The problem with DMCA counter notices, is that CDPR can lock things in litigation for a long time. They already have lawyers that they pay working for them, so this probably doesn't cost them a lot of extra time and money. While it will cost Luke a lot and he wouldn't really gain anything in the end. Even with a win. Big risk with very little reward in all likelihood. They have an overwhelming advantage here. Plus, it has been pirated all over for free at this point, so even getting back the ability to restore the mod itself is not much of a win. I think there are definitely other lessons we can learn and apply moving forward that make more practical sense. I think Luke did a good thing by taking a pause and seeing how things play out so he can hopefully try to reflect and adapt on how to approach this if he decides to move forward. Edit: Actually, I don't know what it would cost them for lawyers. I am just assuming not much, because they already have them on the payroll. I don't actually know that for sure though.
i'm crashing all the same time in the same room more or less, i'm with the guy searching for car parts, we are into an abandoned metro station, anyone else experiencing crashes there ? the game just freezes and after a while it crashes
You can try deactivating the mod by renaming dxgi.dll to dxgi_bak.dll and play through that part. Just rename back to get VR again. If you want to put a copy of your RealVR64.log file on pastebin.com and post a link here, I'll look at it.
hola, que configuracion me recomiendas con una 4080 super y rayzen 7800x3d?
titanfall 2 vr please?
That one is supposed to work really well with VorpX, although I haven't used VorpX in years.
Dying light 2 would be amazing
Are there games that support motion controllers with Luke mods?"
No, Luke doesn't do motion controls at all. One of his points starting out was that companies could somewhat easily add in VR support without having to go through adding in all the extras and it would still be a success :)
TLOU2 is like dreams comes true :) .. but Dying Light is coming again :)
I think Dying Light 2 would be pretty rad in VR.
Doom eternal Standard Edition IS Not Work Witsch VR can U fix IT plz
Can you put a copy of your RealVR64.log file on pastebin.com and post a link here please?
Cyberpunk needs fixing after the update
He's working on it 😁
Nice teaser , thank you :D ! On the first actually, what an experience It' s so good ! So happy to have you for different experience in VR. Everytime im stunned and enjoy this mod so much. Thank you Luke and Brandon !!
Awesome vid Brandon, that's quality
Is there Luke Ross support group somewhere for Pimax Crystal Super owners? I can’t get a bunch of games to launch.
You can try asking in the Luke Ross channels on the Flat2VR discord. There are other Pimax users there.
Can I request a new game to be added to the list: DEAD SPACE (2023)
Yesssss
Noooo, and today is the day I'm getting my VR headset!
Yeah, CP2077 is broken. Wanted to play it the first time in VR and OF COURSE something does not work :D But i'm patient and sure it will soon be fixed.
For future reference, the mod always breaks when the game updates. It's the same for almost every other mod for 2077. If you ever feel like continuing to play VR, you can revert to the prior update to keep playing with REALmod. There's tutorials online on how to revert game versions.
Yea CP2077 bust with the new update... please work your magic Luke!
I copied-of my CP install last night! Good Save!
And I haven't updated. I'm launching the game through the .exe file ;D
100 bucks towards tomb raider remasters 6 games in 1
There already a mod for the remasters by Team Beef
Just started playing Cyberpunk 2077 VR yesterday on my new computer got back from work today and the update has borked it. Just my luck, was amazing when it worked though. Desperately looking forward for fix.
Jup. CP2077 update seem to have broken the mod. Waiting it is now. Have to wait anyway for all the other mods I have installed to be updated.:)
Hello, I just joined this Patreon recently and wanted to give a Cyberpunk a try. It worked with a few tweeks as great as I could hope for but there was an update this morning that no longer VR. Would I need to wait for another update for the Luke Ross mod? Btw, thank you for this mod, this seems very seamless and I am excited to try CP2077 + DLC with this for the first time.
Well, you are in for an amazing experience in VR. Yes, you will need to wait for a fix from Luke since the update seems to have broken the mod. If you are using other mods for the game, they may need to update as well.
Holy Gamer Gods, fabulous song Brandon! TLOU1 put new stars in the VR sky. TLOU2 now shifts them into a bright new constellation!
Was absolutely true for me in Cyberpunk 2077 VR. Despite its dystopia, it was the precious escape I needed in some hard times and remains one of my favorite gaming experiences ever. VR in general may not have become the mainstream success we hoped for ten years ago but I’ve never been so excited for my growing backlog of LR-modded games (many I’m playing for the first time). It feels truly lucky to have access to these experiences in this format.
My sentiments exactly. Night City feels like a real place to me and I gave memories of being there. I am lucky enough to have 5090 and Pimax crystal light and cyberpunk alone made the purchases worth it. Haven't had chance to try TLOU yet as on outer worlds spacers choice but once that's done I will be playing but hoping for a working first person mod.
I think...I love both of you ❤️
Last of us part 2 - I was waiting for this ;D thank you .. I can buy the game now
Great news! TLOU part 1 and 2 are two of my best games ever played in my life, Naughty Dog is surely on the podium of the talented studios world wide. I did the 2 TLOU console years ago and bought PC part 1 a few months ago in hope of a VR Mod, ok let's buy Part 2 now, thank you LR! I dream of a Days Gone vr Mod too...
Brilliant!
🥲Damn Brandon. That's beautiful man
Well done!…and well-deserved too…Thx from me too for the great work you are doing.
Oh my god, this is the best news
Thank you Luke Ross. Whenever you get a chance I would love to see Spider-Man 2 get your treatment. Swinging around as Spider-Man is so amazing.
spiderman 1 on peut y joué a la first personn?
Brandon, lol. Bro. A waifu in each hand? Teach you to play golf? Hahahaha, alright, that was great. I agree with you, thanks to Luke for all the incredible mods, and thank you for all the support you give us to make sure we can enjoy these experiences, cause goodness knows I would have long been stumped. Laters!
🤜🔥🤛 Just so blessed to be part of this crazy exclusive VR gang!
Hope this pc version is not absolutely broken like first game... unplayable for me despite my configuration
Because of hardware limitations or what do you mean? This one does seem to have better performance to some degree. After adjusting settings to get more performance I actually might be able to hit 144fps and use AERV2 but I didn't try yet. I actually prefer turning off AA entirely for this one because DL(S)SS has some issues with transparent surfaces like windows and windshields. That is totally a personal preference thing though. If you are playing at a decently high res, the aliasing is not bad. I am on a 5090 though, so that helps :)
Thanks Luke for all the work you do, you’ve created some of my best…no have created the best experiences gaming I’ve ever had!
Much love, Luke and Brandon. Keep doing what you're doing. Just... you know, more. And faster. :D
TLOU2 ? I played the first one on flat, and I liked it, but with the second one there were a lot of polemics, IDK if I should play it now ...
I called it a few weeks ago!
I lift my Headset off to you aswell 💪🏽
Great work! Please make a mod for Assassin's Creed Odyssey or any other game from the series
Yes, Assassin's Creed games would we awesome on VR, travelling to ancient greece
Hey man ! Could you look into pathtracing wobbly lighting when V is moving via vehicle ? like car or elevator ? Seems like your fix isn't working in those conditions. Like interior of car while V is driving a car is still as wobbly as it used to before your awesome fix.
I also notice the issue without pathtracing (though it does get worse with RT/PT, and even worse if you don't enable ray reconstruction). It seems to be related to the DL(S)SS implementation, so I became used to disabling DL(S)SS every time I enter a vehicle or elevator. The issues it's meant to solve are usually less distracting than the artifacts it creates in these specific situations, so it's better to turn it off temporarily. I'd guess the issue is related to limitations in Optical Flow, but not entirely sure. --- On a separate note: By editing the mod files I was able to enable Volumetric Clouds and they look amazing in VR. Idk why they've been disabled in the mod by default, but if there was a problem before it's not there any more. They're gorgeous and should be brought back on by default! =D
Brandon is the man!, thanks a lot for all your great contribution Brandon! 💯
That was awesome…..also TLOU part 2 woohoo
Luke Ross is single-handedly keeping VR alive.
7 years doesn't seem like that long ago, but it is actually ages ago in terms of VR. It is like prehistoric VR days 😁 I feel like my Rift S is some ancient fossil from the old times.
