I use the mod version 26.1 with a HP Reverb G2 using the standard game settings (modified by the mod). Everything is OK, but I am not happy with the performance. Although I have a fast PC with a 4090 Nvidia card and I5-12600K CPU, I can go only to 17.5 PPD which leads to a resolution of about 2160x2160 @ 60 Hz. With higher PPD the frame rate drops well below 60. At higher resolution (with low frame rate) the 6 performance cores are all at ~80% and my GPU is bored at ~25%. DLLS is switched off in the game settings as the game would otherwise render only at 1440x1440 (as seen in the Mod Overlay). DLLS doesn't make a real difference in GPU consumption anyway. While the game FPS might be CPU limited and 80% is probably some kind of soft limit, I don't understand why increasing the resolution will lower the frame rate. Isn't this just a GPU thing? I would like to go to higher PPD (Reverb G2 is supposed to have ~23) for more sharpness. Any ideas what could be wrong? Or is this for some reason "normal"? At what PPD dou you play with a 4090 ?
You should definitely get better performance than that! Even if you were using 1/2 rendering mode. That is really low, especially for a G2 :( Performance for Death Stranding should be pretty good as well. Are you noticing any other performance issues when doing other things or playing games in general? Are you using the Oasis Driver for the G2? Sorry for not seeing this. Generally a good idea to post in under a newer Patreon post so it is more visible.

It is a very weird/unique game. Definitely part walking sim but with lots of ways you upgrade. You also get vehicle. You mainly get packages and deliver them but there is lots of stealth and some combat elements while doing that. Watch some reviews. I like the before you buy reviews myself. They are pretty honest and fair usually. Very interesting characters and story. Great voice work and dialogue.

It will work with the Directors Cut but should also work for the non-DC version. Luke originally modded on the non-DC version but then got it working with the DC version. When it releases :)

I've been a monthly Patron for over a year and I've seen the list of games and performance improve dramatically over that period of time. If being someone who doesn't jump in and out of financial support carries any additional weight in influencing future game choices, it would be awesome to get Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart into the mix... love the franchise going back to its debut on PS2 and the game would be outstanding in VR! Does it work with the regular Death Stranding or only the Directors Cut? Or both? Don't own the DC since the game isn't that good, at least for me. If the stupid balancesystem would be removed, maybe via a mod. ^^ That might change my view of the game.
I believe Luke originally modded the regular version and then had to fix it for the Directors Cut after I tried it. So should work with both. Don't focus on doing unnecessary deliveries in the first episodes. It gets a lot easier in episode 3 after you unlock the power skeleton and can make your own bikes. You also get floating carriers in that episode and robots. You can then fast travel back to the previous area if you want to get more stars. I missed playing Kojima games, they are so wonderfully weird.
The adapt resolution feature in Hogwarts appears to broken. No matter what I do it crashes if I try to change it. Running on ALVR. 5090. Also Indy ray tracing makes everything unstable and crashes no matter how low I set everything to. Works fine with it turned off.
Compatibility with ALVR could be an issue. Was it working before or are you just trying it for the first time? If you want to put a copy of your RealVR64.log file on pastebin after a crash, I can take a look. You could also try adjusting the resolution in the RealVR.ini file. Change By changing the value of Forcedres.

Well, that time is quickly coming! Your patience paid off! The story is pretty wild, but don't go in expecting to find baby Snake in a jar 🤪 You can definitely find ways to bro out with your own BB though.
Luke, if it's possible can you please finish off the far cry series next? Loved 4/5 and 3/2 would just be perfect, the 1st farcry already has a VR mod but yeah I'd appreciate it. Thank you and keep it up, you are one of the reasons why VR is alive.
Another game/series I'd love to suggest is Bioshock trilogy/COD/Battlefield, that would work amazing with your mods. I tried Vorpx with it but was jank, also I wish that you'd make a site where we subscribers can suggest games and if they're been greenlit etc. Grasias

Can you add other mods from vortex and run the game in vr for cyberpunk? Are there certain limitations to mods that might not play nicely in vr? Any recommendations for performance/immersion? On a 5090, Quest 3

No, I really don't think so. It works really well with UEVR. Motion controls, Native, the works.
hell yea, I've been asking for that one a few times! Thank you so much! I spent so much time on it on PS5/flat... but it means now I understand all the mechanics to make a new play in VR even better. And that means you should be able to support DS2 very soon after it comes up on PC, so I'll skip the PS5 version! PS: I know it's a hard game for many to get into, but it really grows on you if you give it a chance. And in VR the atmosphere should be even more immersive.
Characters and story are great. I got sucked in pretty quickly and actually found myself having fun figuring out how to deliver more and more stuff efficiently. You get some pretty cool upgrades. I would recommend not getting caught up in making tons of deliveries at the beginning but playing through a few episodes to unlock things that make deliveries way easier. Like the power skeleton in episode 3, I got it up to level 3 pretty quick and it made it super easy to carry a big load around. The bike of course helps a lot. People make it sound like you are walking for hours at a time or something, but it isn't like that at all. Unless you just have no idea what you are doing and keep going in circles for some reason. A little strategy and thought go a long way.
Are any of the Doom games starting w/ Doom 2016 supported yet? Those would be awesome in VR!

I'm sure it'll look incredible in VR... but Death Stranding is a hard one for me to care about. The flat version was a massive turn-off, as is Kojima himself. Very happy for fans to be able to play in VR, though. Have fun, all.
I'm also holding off on playing Doom.....similar engine to Indy....so hope.
I'm not interested in death stranding as I've done over 100 hours in flat :( but I'll continue to fund Patreon as I now know death stranding 2 will be in VR!

Nice to see most likes on this suggestion. I still didnt play sons of the forest after finishing the first game in VR mode. There is no going back to a flat screen in this game 😁 Maybe if we ask Luke more often he will consider looking into it
