Im done. This time for real.
There is this great page who reuploads cc and put viruses inside. (at least Ive been told they are unsafe)
Rant incoming:
I am done with being disrespected like this. I’ve been sharing my CC for free since the TS3 days. (Yes, I tried Early Access for a while, but there were reasons for that—which I’ve explained before, so let’s just ignore it. The stuff became free afterwards anyway). Ever since then, there have always been people re-uploading my CC to (mostly) Russian sites—SimsGalaxy and VK, for example. At one point, my Simblreen treats were shared on Telegram, even though they were going to be made freely available to everyone later anyway. During the event itself, they were meant only for participants - that was the whole point. Even CC I had already deleted for reasons got re-uploaded. I’m still active; people could have just asked me.
I’ve put so much time into every single piece of CC. Hair, poses, clothing, objects - I created a lot over the years - and I was known under various names: smellslikepixedolls, jealousy-pixel, moxXxes, neriney, before finally becoming zynoox. All my CC has been re-uploaded somewhere, used in paywalled content, or even used for things that aren't even Sims-related. I’m not blind. I’m active in many communities, and I see what’s going on.
For years, I tried to just tune it out. But I can’t do it anymore. This disrespect is taking too much of a toll on my mental health.
And before anyone brings it up - I’m aware that EA claims ownership of the meshes and textures once they’re in package format. But that doesn’t change the fact that I invested HOURS into them. I even paid MONEY for some things - materials and resources for sculpting and texturing. Why are people so disrespectful? They take and want more and more, yet treat us creators as if we’re just a given.
I’ve been thinking about opening commissions again, but they won’t be shared publicly. Maybe, someday, I’ll be able to simply ignore all that, but until then, there won’t be any more public CC releases from me.

i thought awhile on what to say but everything i thought of sounded selfish and inconsiderate to your feelings and experiences. If you need a break or want to quick it should be yours to do. I will say i will miss your cc and conversions and always appreciated seeing anything new from you. but if its truly that draining and damaging then you should do what you need to. thank you for everything and curses to the buzzards that want to be greedy off the backs of amazing people like you. thank you for everything
thank you!! It could be that I come back in a few weeks/months. Im trying to learn to give a fuck about all this currently :)
Unfortunately, it is literally useless to fight with such people... But I don't understand why you're so indignant... That someone will download their viruses and break their game? Well, it will be a lesson. As for me, such re-loaders only teach people how to download from the official. Again, I'm not in favor of them, I'm all for downloading only from the authors, especially if it then goes public. In general, I wish you strength and patience, I found you through Pinterest, took hairstyles, very cool work.
Im not indigant about that someone will download their stuff. Idc about that. If they get a virus, its not my business and def not my fault. Im angry at the people who reupload stuff in the first place.
Man, this has happened more than once in communities. Can't be nice anymore it seems. I'm so sorry your experiencing this bull. and even though I'm a new member I'll stand with you in whatever decide going forward. Thank you so much for your time and hardwork.
I'm sorry about this :( I'd just wait for your cc to be public... how hard is it people to wait a few weeks?
why wait? my cc is free
🥲
That's depressing since I absolutely love your stuff. I don't know if it's my own flavor of brain skittles that prevents me from understanding what is so upsetting about the people that do that kind of thing (I CAN understand when those people go and paywall someone ELSE'S stuff, sorta). I used to sell my novels on major retailers, knowing the books would get scraped up and put on Russian sites and the like, and my fellow authors in my circle were always confused why it didn't bother me. I... I dunno. I've been on the internet since the beginning, it's always been an element of the internet. I didn't pull my books because of it, but rather because of what the actual companies themselves were changing in their policies, so I can't claim like... what's the word... camaraderie? In this decision. That said, I'm not trying to invalidate your reaction to it. I give that explanation to state this: while I don't understand your reaction, I do feel for you that you're dealing with it and that you feel this way. I don't connect with people right, but do feel in these moments people deserve support, so I want to let you know I appreciate everything you've done to date, and I'll also appreciate you taking the time to care for your own mental health in regards to the situation as a whole, and support your decision to stop. It's a loss I'll feel, and I hope you can enjoy what creativity you do beyond this. Cheers, and much love. Thank you for all you shared to date, it's part of my cherished little gameworld. <3
The disappointing part is that I’ve invested time, love, and sometimes even money into it. I have very open Terms of Use, tailored to the fact that EA claims ownership of anything in the package file format. My custom content is free and accessible to everyone. Why upload it elsewhere? I understand that not everyone has access to Patreon, but couldn't they just ask on Tumblr if I’d upload it to SFS, or make it available somewhere else? Just to get clout? Any artist should feel this way if their work were treated so disrespectfully. Many people can handle it, I can't. I have BPD, among other things, which makes me incredibly emotional and sensitive. And I see something like this as a personal attack. Why? That’s just how it is. The fact that I share my work for free, in a community that takes it for granted that everything should be put behind a paywall, even though mods of any kind should *always* be free, is something that should be met with respect, not taken for granted. Anyway, thanks for enjoying my work tho <3
I'm so sorry this happened to you. I tried creating a vase recolor years ago in Sims 2 and new that I'd never be able to create cc LOL. Thank you for all that you've done for the community!
I really hate how this community just keeps ruining things and then want to act surprised when talented creators like you leave en masse. Like how hard is it to just respect someone's wishes? And for Simblreen it's literally free?????? And doing the porchlights is a part of the fun????? I'm so tired of this. I'm sorry people suck ass. I hope whatever you decide to do next treats you with the respect you deserve.
It’s not unsafe, but it’s not good that exists. Just got to get to shut down. Don’t just lock your stuff away for others not to get it, since that’s illegal. Just do the two week, or even up to a month to let things be free. I hate to say it, but these sites are always going to be a thing. It’s just people have to come to come together to get them taken down.
Do you even know what you talk about? I never locked my stuff away (the earyl access phase had 3 weeks, which is allowed via EA TOU btw). Also idc if these sites will be there forever or not. Seems like you missed the point.
