Sadly no go-fish subgames planned :) As for the shared characters, I wish it was as simple as saving money on assets; but it's more that I loved the characters. Across Morningstar and Love of Magic there are 100+ unique characters (80+ in LoM, 20+ so far in Morningstar) and 6 shared ones. Once you have a decent base library, cooking up a new character's work, but it's not *hard* work (it's quite fun, in fact.. kinda like creating a new character in BG3, just with a lot more sliders). But it does let me revisit the first days of the romance between Emily and MC, and it lets me finally give Katie the justice she deserves. It's also multi-path, so you'll have to chose which girl you'll end up with.

We shall definitely have to gang up on Droid to get "Go Fish" as a subgame.

Another solid podcast, and very relatable. First, I just realized that it was your Seeds of Chaos review that first made me aware of the space - so thanks a lot Ms. Corruption. ;) Second, like “Kewl-Dad”, I had the same disappointing experience with Shroud of the Avatar, though luckily I only lost like $30 or so on it. But a lot of people got royally scammed by Lord British (pun intended). Third, l’m looking forward to your take on futanari, because like NTR it seems to straddle a lot of lines as a straight male fetish. Love to hear your take on the “I’m grossed out by she-males but futanari are different” perspective.

The observation that successful games need flavors that are popular together is interesting. That adding a popular flavor could actually reduce player interest if it "clashes" with the other flavors. I've definitely played games where I was really into some of the flavors but found others intrusive. Sometimes to the point of ruining the game for me. I'm sure to a certain extend that is inevitable because everyone has their own idiosyncratic set of preferences. But it makes sense that there are some combinations are much more popular than others. I'd love to hear further discussion about which combos tend to work best.

I guess you could say I mainly started with japanese games and web browser flash games but long ago back then that was the only thing that existed other then like Leisure Suit Larry or something.

Will you publish a private RSS feed version of this? I'd love to listen but would prefer to listen on my phone through my regular podcast app by just adding an RSS feed.

*a beat* yes, you are younger than I am 😅 I think it’s awesome that you have such supportive parents. As someone who grew up in a sex positive environment, I’m always thankful to have had the parents I had. Also let me know the next time you’re hiring so I can apply 😊 lol
