The video had some mysterious playback error on Patreon (using Mozilla), but worked find on YouTube under the title "The End of Illusion: 1993-2023"
Lame! I had issues in the past here, but I thought things had gotten better. Thanks for the heads up!
Thank you for covering this. There is so much speculation on the closure of Illusion and the transition to Ill Games - but there is little legit / credible information about what happened / is going on available. Questions could include is the management the same? Are their new investors? Was the Illusion Games Corporate entity in distress, if so, was this a move to preserve some level of employees and projects and to live and fight another day? Who owns the IP of Illusion Games (will old game find their way back to the market or will they be buried in the loss of Illusion)? For a company of 30 years to go down and some elements of it to resurface so quickly, there must be a deep and interesting story - but not one that seems to have been talked about at least publicly at all. And btw, keep up the great work, love your videos, they are always so well thought out and very much appreciate your POV.
The whole situation is just so befuddling and frustrating.
Oh man... A couple of illusion's games have been on my steam wishlist for ages waiting for a sale, particularly the vr ones. Is it worth picking them up on steam or should I go elsewhere to grab them today? Also, thanks for bringing this up. I completely missed that they were closing up.
DLsite versions have less nonsense, but the newest have some DRM.
