Video Game Censorship and LGBTQ+ Erasure: An Infinite Game

How is modern video game censorship evolving? Why does the fight over representation feel constant? In this presentation from QueerCon 2026 in Athens, I talk about how cognitive warfare and the manipulation of public perception are being weaponized as the primary drivers of modern censorship and LGBTQ+ erasure in gaming.

Instead of viewing censorship as isolated incidents with fixed goals in a finite game, I talk about these trends through the lens of an infinite game. An infinite game of reshaping long-term ideological and socio-cultural narratives.
