I think that female-protagonist games can be considered a separate genre because it is entirely different stories and flavours. If we consider games like "Having a Hard Time" or "Queen's Brothel", they aren't really corrupt games, and if you were to put a male protagonist as the main character, it would completely change the game and flavour. Regarding the Daz models, I believe they are repeatable because most of the visual novels do not want to use a new generation of models Genesis 9, and with that, only old (Genesis 8 and older) models are used. That also creates a lot of low-quality games based on renpy, which stop being developed after a few chapters. So, I think such games would need to migrate into a combination of VN & RPG to keep up with other games.
This sounds more and more like subjective picks as opposed to data driven "most popular female protagonist games".
I like female protagonist games because I find it harder to identify with male protagonists in any game, not just adult ones. Not really into the corruption flavor though.
Unfortunately female protagonist games without corruption are very rare in this space.
