Welcome to Spooktober! October Gameplan and Schedule

FUCK Its already October?! And here I thought I'd have a larger Goth sample size, wellll guess we're gonna have to get ... creative.

Welcome lads and laddettes, to another October of the Spooky variety. It's time for some festive lewds shall we get started? I've already taken the liberty to update Thorn and Sally, I've been wanting to give their art a small update and no better time than October.

Unfortunately I've been adding to the "Spooktober" folder all year and now that we're finally here I find myself more neck deep in the backlog than ever so I had to be choosy with what I pulled out. Still, counting the polls I think I can conjure up one more medium post somewhere.. but I leave the choice of further options to the Lanterns! Which brings us to our polls.

This week: Moon Butterfly Set. (None spooktober related) I did some order chicanery again, so lets get to Moon this week. Followed by Daphe Blake, that one is topical yay. In between I might try to sneak in that other thing I was talking about earlier.

Time to put your pedal to the metal, so you say you want more of these characters? Well time to prove your alliegance! I'll admit, my ideas for ANY of these characters arent that large, but I reckon a medium length set is in the future of the winner. If I had more time, I would have given some of these a set without a vote ha... but now I leave the choice with the Lanterns.

October 20th New Goth Character Poll (Alternative Style Girl)

Kylie Griffin (Ghost busters), Joan of Arc (Clone College), Lacey Shadows (The Modyfiers), Evil Ashi (Samurai Jack), College Lydia Deetz (Bettlejuice Cartoon), One of the Dee Dee twins (Batman Beyond)

Reaaaally stretching the definition of Goth here ha. "Alt girl" is more on the money, but that one isn't nearly as catchy. I admit I had some trouble filling this roster out. There are a few that are obvious, but contrary to popular belief, I havent forgotten about them, its just not the right time. On the hand! I also needed characters that were roughly on the right power scale as the rest, Im actually excited for a few in this line up ha. Once again, it'll only be a medium set but I've been wanting to expand the Goth Girl roster and some of these I just wanted an excuse to include. Each way this goes, I'll be a happy Moth.

Some insights on where I'm leading, I will not repeat this when the actual poll comes about so we dont skew the results:

Kylie, Joan and Lacey are pretty par for the course, and play pretty regularly to my content type.

Ashi, fair warning we will NOT be going with the 'turned good Ashi" this will be strictly evil, still covered in Ash, antagonistic, borderline raw seductive hatefuck (but consensual) x Jack. Ye be warned.

Lydia, if chosen will NOT be with the titular Beetlejuice. She'd be in college, but maybe she tries something with Goth magic. idk my motto is when in doubt, werewolf lol.

Dee Dee, ONE of the Dee Dees. Most likely w/ Terry as our lucky... lucky... protagonist. I'll admit tho, I KNOW the obvious choice is Terry but while getting screenshots I was PARTIALLY temped to go with implied old man Bruce. Am I horrible? ("oh no old man smut, yeah yeah im awful ha). Thats probably the inner Bruce Timm speaking to me, we'll stick to Terry, I just thought it would be funny. (maybe in the future tho)

I thought about Daria and the Beret Girl from the Goofy Movie, but thought against it. For one, they would both punch me if I were to refer to them as Goths. Maybe Jane would be more open to it.

But what it came down to is that while I was aware of Daria, the show, I was never in the right age group for it, before my time, so I never really checked it out until this week. It's actually pretty good, what I checked out so far (video essays and youtube clips) but like I said, turns out she's not even a goth ha.

And Beret girl... it would mess with the story I want to do for Goof Troop and I dont think she'd be a good place to start for Max. I want to practice the art style a bit too, so far my plan is Lisa -> Beret Girl -> Peggy. Still gotta level up some before i attempt it tho, kinda of a hard art style.

Alright there you have it! Thats mostly the information I wanted to get out. Im gonna wrap it up here, check out some mail, comments and work on Moon's Sketches. Hope your revved up for Gothtober!
