Check In, Short progress report: Francine and Audrey
Hey you lot, this is mostly for the Candles benefit since they don't see the poll post so I wanted to get a message out that everyone can see about the gameplan.
Francine's art will be posted tomorrow.
That's basically it, I was hoping to finish by today, right about now actually, but I added more panels than I thought I would and I want to take my time shading them a bit more instead of rushing it. (I know I say this a lot, but this was suppose to be a SHORTER set.. I think I forgot how to make those)
So tomorrow, afternoon ish if your in my timezone, so hope you guys are enjoying your sunday so far.
Lanterns: We'll be having our first poll in about an hour (5 PM PST today), so get ready and bring your A game for your chosen fighter.
AFTER FRANCINE: UGGHHHH guys... I dont want to do another Aphrodite situation, but I've been struggling with the premise story for Audrey. I dont want to just dumb it down to no story and just sex but I dont want to spend as much time as I did w/ Aphrodite drawing the necessary build up pages if its a longer story. Sooo.. I think I'm gonna buy myself more time and work on the list slightly out of order again while I keep working on her script in the background. I havent given myself a lot of time to work on it, but maybe something will click while I keep working on someone elses' art and I'm more ready by the time I get to her proper. Or maybe I'm just overthinking everything..
TLDR: Doing either Daphne Blake or Susan Long's set after Francine from the List.
So.. err, yeah. I actually do have a set up and some doodles for them. Anyways back to francine See ya lanterns in about an hour.

Unfortunately I dont have even a guestimate, we're working through one name at a time and there are a few names ahead of her on the list found in the "About" section.

I don't think you're able to compute what a SHORT set is. As for Audrey, real simple imo. She already teases and bullies Milo a bit, lot of stuff that could've been happening during their journey to Atlantis after crashing. And when they arrive? Kida catches his attention too and now you've got two girls fighting over him in the background. I'm biased for stories similar to Summer and Tricia's situation.
The last time I did a set I consider short... The Velma Set or the first Jessica Rabbit Set. 4 pages, 1 pic on each page telling a short story. I forgot how to do those. Nothing for Audrey yet? Hmmm.... I don't have any story suggestions for her since I don't know her, but I will suggest watching both Atlantis movies when you have the chance. Maybe you'll get inspiration from it or find different tropes and scenarios. I honestly wouldn't mind if you decide to cancel the project if you can't think of anything unique. One less character to worry about! 😁
lol yeah that would suit you ha. Evil. I dont have nothing tho, I actually have 5 scenarios, 4 with various characters but the one I know this lot wants, I cant do short. I need to figure out how to pace it better.

Hey moth when you’re doing a set, at what point does it become a bigger set than you previously thought.
When i draw a really good pose and put in on the page but theres a lot of blank empty space, or I think another angle would really compliment that pose, but then theres ANOTHER blank space so you have to fill that in too etc etc oh no its already happening again..
About Audrey do you mind if I offer a suggestion? You could have her getting with one or more of those Atlantean fishermen shown in the film..it's been a while since I saw it, but I swear I'm remembering some muscular fishermen appearing during the sequence where the crew was exploring the city.
I mean, thats essentially an anon story. Those arent anything new and Not too braaaaag but heh. I can do those in my sleep (not really) the reason I've been having such a hard time is bc I've been going down the vanilla route. Buuut if you guys would be fine with essentially a non character, I can just have her shack up with a random soldier or engineer on the submarine and save us all the trouble. In fact, now that I've said it outloud I kinda like how simple that would be. Maybe I'll just save the vanilla character option for when i've had more experience drawing Audrey.
