The next map project from OS Farms: Eldred, Minnesota 4x!

Hi guys! I've been wanting to release another map and everyone seems to be interested in this one so I figured may as well get it ready for testing!

Like Forest River, this map is based in the Red River Valley but this time in Minnesota. It features real life DEM data that includes all of the road ditches and field drainage ditches so for being a flat map, it does have some pretty cool terrain in many areas.

There will be plenty of farms to choose from and 55 fields to farm ranging in size from 1 acre to over 200 acres. The total farmland area on the map is around 3500 acres making it perfect for those who want to farm big or small. It will feature a 22" version, 30 inch version, and a RCS version.

There is still quiet some work to be done yet so stay tuned for updates and live streams. I'm hoping to get the map out not too long after the 4th of July.

Thank you for all of the support!

-Smeby

I’d like to be able to place grain silos—or the white ones for fertilizer or seeds—as decorative items, just like cow or pig barns. That way, you could create a massive feedlot-style farm; instead of placing 50 barns and having to feed all the animals, you could simply use these as placeable decorative objects.

Question as I'm just getting back into pc gaming, you mentioned the different row spacing..will they require special planters/combines or will the map dictate how the planter works?

O
OSfarms · June 15, 2026

No. It is purely a visual thing for those who want to have every crop on 22 inch spacing. Every planter and implement will work on either version but some people prefer it to look realistic to the area
