E456 - Gov, Actually ft. Ciaran Dold
It's been several years now since Brexit, so we thought we'd stop hunting for bugs under rocks for a little while and invite our good friend Ciaran of Corner Späti into the Podcaster's hovel to discuss the goings on in the Liberal(?) Homeland of continental Europe. We've got some (actually) cool protests going on in France, and a love letter to the political titan that is German Chancellor Friedrich Merz that was bizarrely published in the FT. Plus comment or commentariat.

Oh, yes, there was even a name for it: shelfware. As in, software purchased at enormous cost on the promise that it would change everything, only for no-one to use it and for it to sit on a shelf gathering dust
