Do people in general think the youtube algorithm is good? Personally I think it sucks. The amount of times it recommends me a video I want to watch is incredibly rare. I find this strange since youtube has an insane amount of data on me and my viewing habits collected over almost 20 years. I'm subbed to over a 100 channels (most of which rarely upload) so an avenue for recommendations would be to try and recommend me similar things, this it seems to not do at all. What youtube seems to do is recommend me something that is almost similar to a video I clicked on and then keep recommending that for a good while. I have over a thousand channels I've had to manually click "don't recommend this channel" on because youtube wouldn't stop recommending videos from those channels despite me never clicking on them. I also don't like getting recommended videos from channels I'm subscribed to since that kinda defeats the purpose of me subscribing in the first place. If I'm subscribed I've either watched the video or intentionally not watched the video. It also frequently suggests videos I've already watched, which is also not helpful.

I clicked in and clicked out of that fry episode because I was immediately like “this is not an audio only episode, I gotta watch this one” then rewatched at a later time.

I have a format idea for the sour competition, and I think it might be the best way to do it. You have a series of progressively more and more sour items. Each competitor puts the least sour one in, and it is a test to see how long they can keep it in. If they finish that item (I’m envisioning sour hard candies?) they then move on to the next round, which is the next item in sourness order. If more than one competitor finishes every round, you move on to multiple items at one time. It continues on this way until there is only one, the most sour capable
