As someone who grew up shooting guns but is still kinda terrified of them I get what they are saying. Ludwig is right though there are very easy to shoot pistols that are so much better for beginners that have such little recoil almost anyone could shoot them. I would even say a 20 gauge shotgun is a great first time shooting gun because while shotguns can seem scary they are very basic and a 20 gauge barely kicks. Plus skeet shooting is so much fun.
