Great pickup about Robbie GK ( he plays Kip). He actually is a rugby player, amongst other things. The guy is an outdoor sports nut.

If you need more Hudson and Connor content, they recorded Ember & Ice together. I won't spoil anything for you.

I kinda agree, Scott and Kips story is in a different league.

Ilya and Shane have much more to lose than Scott and Kip if they were to come out/be outed. The biggest reason that Shane and Ilya aren't together as a couple is because of that fear. It's not about them not wanting to it's about they're inability to do so because of the ris k to their professional lives, personal lives and for Ilya, his actual safety. Shane and Ilya are both active MLH rivals in their prime. Their relationship doesn't just affect their personal lives; it invites scrutiny regarding the 'integrity' of the game. Every play between them would be analyzed for bias or 'fixing,' potentially costing them the trust of their fans, teammates and the league In the book Shane is aware that he could likely survive coming out as a single gay man. But coming out as Ilya Rozanov’s partner would make every game they play against each other a spectacle that undermines their teammates' hard work. Furthermore, for Ilya, this isn't just a PR risk—it’s a safety crisis. If he were to lose his American contracts he'd be forced to return to a state-sanctioned danger zone.

I just hope he's able to hear/read everything, it goes by quick. Of course, I always recommend that reactors watch on their own so they can get full enjoyment.

The 4th episode breaks my heart. Ilya even bought Shane's favorite Ginger ale! The sofa scene: It was the first time they called each other by their first names. From how I see it, Ilya finally opened up a little towards Shane but when he said his name, Shane freaked out because he realised Ilya's feelings might be mutual. After that, Ilya tried to back off by calling him again by his last name, trying to show Shane that it can be like it was before.

Funny you mention Kip being built like a rugby player. The actor actually played rugby. I would have never guessed that lol

He still plays amateur rugby! He missed the premiere of HR because he had a rugby game

I agree with you, I greatly appreciate Kip's devoted and fun dad. It was so easy to miss, but Shane gets the heck out of Ilya's house as soon as they both start using each other's first names. It's getting real for him, fast, even though it's been three years of back and forth.
