Broken/Updated Mods: Game Patch 1.117 – New Kits + Bug Fixes

1. New Skin Customization Features

• Players now have access to enhanced skin details for more realistic Sims:

  • Face & Body: Features like rosacea, dark spots, age spots, eye bags, freckles, and stretch marks are available for teens and older.

  • Adult Sims: Additional options such as mouth wrinkles and body wrinkles.

2. Pack Selection Tool

• A handy new Pack Selector lets you toggle Expansion Packs, Game Packs, Stuff Packs, and Creator Kits on or off directly in-game.

• Note: Removing a pack is best done at the start of a new save—removing packs mid-save may affect gameplay/content.

3. Improved DirectX 11 Support

• Enhanced support for Intel GPUs—these users will now automatically launch with DirectX 11.

• Users with non-Intel GPUs (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD) also benefit; other GPU types remain on DX9 for now.

4. Performance Enhancements

• Optimizations include:

  • Smoother and more responsive graphics.

  • Better stability with fixed crashes under certain graphics settings.

5. New Ailments Toggle in Enchanted by Nature

• Within Game Options → Pack Settings, you can now disable “Ailment Spread”. This prevents natural contagious spread—so Sims won’t catch ailments just by proximity.

• Still active: Fairy-based transmissions and Naturopath treatments.

• For total control, uncheck both “Enable Ailment Spread” and “Enable Balance & Imbalance” to eliminate all natural ailments triggers.

6. Upcoming Creator Kits

• Two new Creator Kits—Grange Mudroom (by Peacemaker_ic) and Essential Glam (by CRYPTICSIM)—are coming soon via the in-game store.

7. Various Bug Fixes

• Create-a-Sim: Apparel and hair assets (like sneakers, jeans, tucked tees, blazers, and curly shag hairstyles) have been relocated to their correct categories.

  • Volume and display settings now properly save between sessions.
