Maxis Match Hair Folder

What is maxis match hair?

"Maxis Match" hair refers to a specific style of custom content (CC) created for The Sims series, particularly The Sims 4. It is a term used to describe custom hairstyles that are designed to blend seamlessly with the game's original aesthetic, which is often characterized by its bright, cartoony, and somewhat exaggerated art style.

Maxis Match hair, in particular, adheres to the following characteristics:

• Simplicity & Style: The hair is designed to fit the game's vibrant and stylized look, so it avoids being too realistic or detailed. The texture and shading are typically soft, similar to the base game's hair.

• Color Palette: The colors used in Maxis Match hairstyles are usually in line with the game's palette—bright, pastel, and unnatural hair colors are common.

• Low Detail: Compared to "Alpha" CC (a more realistic style of custom content), Maxis Match hair tends to have less complex texturing and more flat or smooth surfaces, allowing it to blend better with the rest of the game's art style.
