I'm here to officially announce the GDC Wardrobe V3 Prerelease Notes! 🖤✨

We're posting the Wardrobe V3 notes first because we believe the new Wardrobi plugin deserves its own spotlight — and its own post at the very top. 👀

I'm going to try to have the Wardrobi Prerelease Notes ready for you guys tonight!

And just a heads-up: Wardrobi is going to be much more exclusive. Because of that, all prerelease previews, early feature reveals, and behind-the-scenes looks at Wardrobi will be posted exclusively for my Patrons. 💛

Now lets check what V3 will bring in a few days!

🔥 CROSS-SEX CLOTHING + STACKING — NEW

You can now wear clothing made for the other sex — AND stack it with your existing clothing.

This isn't just a simple cross-sex clothing loader.

Opposite-sex clothing is fully integrated into the Clothing Stack system, meaning you can use those pieces as additional layers alongside the clothing your character is already wearing.

Want a female jacket layered over a male outfit? Stack it.
Want to combine male and female clothing pieces into one look? Stack them.
Want to build combinations that were never possible in the original Maker? Now you can.

Cross-sex clothing gets its own dedicated section inside the Clothing Stack tab, complete with thumbnails and search, so you can browse and add pieces just like the rest of your wardrobe.

And I didn't want V3 to simply slap clothing onto the opposite body and call it done.

V3 includes an entire cross-sex fitting system designed to help reshape, position and fit those garments to the opposite body:

🔥 NEW GDC TIGHTNESS & BODY SHAPE SYSTEM

GDC has now implemented an entirely new Tightness System, and compatible GDC clothing will be built to support it.

And this is NOT just another basic tight-clothing effect.

V3 introduces 12 custom options in total:

6 Custom Bust Shapes
Change the actual shape and fit of the bust — but here's the important part: the clothing changes with it.

Instead of reshaping the body underneath and leaving the clothing behind, compatible GDC clothing is designed to react alongside the new shape.

6 Custom Tight Effects
These create different ways clothing can actually compress, push and reshape the bust and the garment around it.

The clothing doesn't simply shrink toward the body.

It moves and reacts to the tightness.

Even better, these systems can work together.

A custom bust shape can alter the body and its clothing, while a Tight Effect can then interact with that new shape and change how the surrounding garment fits.

That means we're moving away from:

Body changes → clothing stays the same.

And toward:

Body Shape ↔ Clothing Fit ↔ Tightness Effect

All three can work together to create a much more believable fitted-clothing result.

Compatible GDC releases that can take advantage of Tightness will include the necessary support directly in the clothing.

6 Shapes + 6 Tight Effects = 12 new fitting options. 💛

📸 CAMERA SYSTEM

V3 also received a much more powerful Maker camera.

You now have 5 Camera Memory Slots that are saved per user and can be recalled using the number keys.

They have their own management window, and Wardrobe can now automatically follow the clothing slot you're currently dressing with a smooth camera glide.

You can even configure how much of the system you want the camera to follow.

The Smart Presets and Wardrobe tabs can temporarily pose the character while you're working and then return control of the pose when you leave.

🏠 DRESSING ROOM

This one is just for making the whole experience feel better.

You can spawn one of GDC's room maps directly around your character and use it as a preview environment while you're working.

Rooms have their own thumbnails and are automatically fitted around the character.

Basically...

Your character finally has an actual dressing room.

1. LAYERS GOT A BIG UPGRADE
   
   Editing a clothing layer now opens it inside its own dedicated window. The body can automatically hide underneath layered garments just like normally equipped clothing.
   
   You can disable this whenever you want. Layered heels now retain their heel pose, including HS2Heelz support. Layer colors also gained: Shine Texture NormalBackDirInvert So layered clothing is becoming much closer to editing normally equipped clothing.
   
   There is now Layers Material editor so go all out with your clothes!

   🛠️ AND A LOT OF FIXES...

   This update also includes a large amount of smaller fixes and improvements, including:

   • Material sliders no longer incorrectly clamp values
   • Style Me now preserves presets while recoloring
   • Studio stability improvements
   • Layer improvements
   • Camera improvements
   • Wardrobe reliability fixes
   • Cross-sex fitting improvements
   • UI and workflow cleanup
   • And a lot more behind the scenes
