Piracy, Must read!
Alooo everyone! I hope everyone is doing great!!
I'm here to introduce a new anti-piracy system that will be integrated into my mods. This measure is being taken in response to the widespread piracy within the community.
Unfortunately, taking this path means I may have to stop creating mods for the community—all because one person has been sharing my content without permission. I'd much rather block them and continue delivering more great content for all of you! It's also incredibly unfair to my loyal patrons who support me financially while others access the same content for free. Your support comes from your hard-earned money, and I’m committed to making sure you receive truly exclusive content in return.
"But GDC what is this??".
Going forward, each Crazy VIP Club tier will have its own dedicated Mega folder. Since the highest tier has been leaked, I’ll begin with that one. If the @Lover Club Tier ends up facing similar issues, I’ll apply the same system there as well.
Each of your mods will be uniquely tailored for you—what does that mean? It means every mod I create will have slight differences, making each version identifiable. So, if a mod ends up on a piracy site, I can trace it back to the specific person it was sent to. That account will be banned from Patreon, and I’ll also charge for the next month in advance as a penalty. So, what happens if the mod you shared is found? You’ll lose access and face consequences.
Your account will be immediately banned on both Patreon and Discord.
The card or payment method you used will also be permanently banned. This means that even if you try to create a new account, the same card or IP address won't work. Using a VPN won’t help either—your payment method will still be blocked. You can always request a new card from your bank, but at that point, I’ll be happy to sell you each mod individually for $15.
Your name will be added to the ☠│hall-of-shame channel on Discord, where everyone will be able to see who leaked the content and where it was posted, including your forum username.
The Patreon account that originally received the mod will be banned, regardless of who actually shared it on a piracy site or forum. This means that if you send the mod to a friend and they choose to share it online, your Patreon account will still be held accountable for the leak.
Starting with the next mod release, things will change! You’ll no longer find a Mega link in your Membership tab—instead, each individual Mega folder will be sent directly through your Patreon DMs. This way, I’ll know exactly who received each copy. Hehe.

Q&A
1: "But GDC, can’t we just open the mod and remove whatever you added in the XML or code?"
Who said the identification system relies on code? 😉
Have a great day, everyone!
2: "GDC, will this new system require an extra plugin or special method to run? I’d prefer not to add anything extra to my repack just to use the mods!"
Nope! No plugins, no additional tools—just regular mods, but with built-in tracking to identify thieves.

GDC, I always look forward to your work. I imagine you've gone through some tough times, but please know that I'm rooting for you. I'm just an ordinary user who purchases HS2 mods in a legitimate and respectful way, but I've experienced something quite strange myself. In fact, it was the opposite of your case—there was a modder whose page I visited, intending to subscribe and get a particular mod. The system was such that you had to leave a comment with a password, and the creator would then send you a code to unlock the mod. Before that, this creator had written a post expressing anger, saying that someone had leaked their mod onto a certain pirate site—which I completely understood. As a fellow user, I sympathized and agreed that not enough people show proper respect. So, when I left a comment requesting the password, I also included a few words of encouragement, hoping to comfort the creator. Then something totally unreasonable happened. I had to step away from my PC for a few hours due to work, and when I came back, excited to check if the password had arrived—I was suddenly blocked. Without warning, the creator accused me of being a pirate and said, “You must have used a pirate site. I’m refunding you and banning you from my page.” This creator was from the same country as me—one where, unfortunately, mods themselves are not widely accepted. It’s a strange cultural environment, where even rare communities like ours can be pushed into the shadows. And sadly, there are some creators like that person who take out their frustration by lashing out at others, assuming the worst, and punishing innocent users. But you’re not like them. You’re not a child. You’re someone who stands on their own. Before being a modder, you’re a human being I deeply respect.
yeayyyy... GDC fairy will always be able to watch me... I love you :) i am your little perverts ;)
hey my little pervert! glad to see you here haha
Aye aye, Captain!
I make a visual novel myself, and this is not the way. You cannot defeat piracy, you just gotta live with it especially if you got a big following. People pay to support the creator and not for the product most of the time. The guys who leaked your stuff will just find a way to leak it in a more harmful way and you'll bring more attention and possibly people may even try to hack you as "revenge". If you catch them with one method, then they'll just make another account. You're just making it harder for you to distribute your mods individually which may lead to burn out unless you find a way to automate it. Not saying any of these things in a threatening or mean way, as I said I make a visual novel myself and totally get it... However, you cannot fight piracy alone. It's not possible. You're wasting your time. This is the internet and piracy has always been part of it and it finds a way. It actually promotes my, your and everyones content in a big way.
If this is all just a waste of time, then I’ll stop creating mods. I'm not doing this for money—it's a hobby. If you choose not to protect your own work, that’s your decision, but don’t expect me to take responsibility for you giving up on what you’ve made. When you take steps to protect your work, it shows you care about it. But if you’d rather allow your creations to be leaked for the sake of "advertisement," that’s your choice—not mine. I won’t do the same with my work because I have too much respect for it. I also respect the people who support me enough to protect what they’re investing in. I will do everything I can to safeguard my creations and the supporters who back me on Patreon. As for those who might retaliate or try to harm my work out of spite—I honestly don’t care. People who devote their real lives to seeking revenge online out of pure hatred are clearly struggling in their own lives. Anyone who goes that far probably needs real help, and in many ways, life has already punished them enough. So let them be.
I've been supporting them for a long time, but it's unfortunate that something like this happens. I wonder what kind of person would do something like this. I hope that the measures will be effective.
people who are wanting our hard work for free, then they are now the "victims since we modders spend hours making mods and we should be making them free for everyone according to them"
In all honesty your hard work needs to be justified and i agree on this anti piracy. Its not a right to get your mods for free, its a privilage.
Correct!! i do make all of my content free eventually but seems like pirates are willing to do everything for a few likes even if i make my work for free after a while. thanks for the comment Lechuga rica <3
Loved it! Specially the Hall of Shame!
Hey HSG number 1 fan! love your work!
Oh dear, 😲😯. That was unexpected. Basically Obey the rules, 📃. Also, is unfair this type of situation for amazing modders like you and others. Because you know how to make this content, you have the knowledge and skills to brings those creations to reality. Is necessary to protect your work, including other Modders. Regards GDC, 👋🏻.
It is very unfair specially for my patreons, you guys who support my work with yalls hard earned money! thank you so much for your kind words Ulise!
