Modded games...
It seems that modded versions of the game have been the cause of a lot of the issues I'm seeing.
I've always maintained that mods are unnecessary, that there's no right or wrong way to play.
I'm curious to hear from anyone who can give me clear examples of when they felt the mod was "needed" - perhaps there are instances when you guys feel you don't have enough information or guidance as to what effect choices might have?
- UPDATE -
A few points:
There is an option to add a note when you save the game, so you could for example list different combinations of reception staff, or whether you're pushing Lois down the submissive path.
I'm pretty accessible, I think, and USUALLY able to respond within a reasonable timeframe so message me if anything seems unclear.
If anyone feels there are points where a mod REALLY changed the decision they would have otherwise made, let me know and I'll look at whether or not that can be tweaked to make things clearer.
There ARE a handful of points in the game where certain menu options are colour coded Yellow, Orange or Red with a caution about outcomes. I don't want to necessarily have to do that for EVERY possible option but let me know of any you feel are ambiguous.

i primarily use them for paths. i dont want to explore most paths in a game that has 5 or more paths and your game has allot of different options were i think most paths play out very similar. i most commonly use URM since it is the least invasive and almost never causes issues but have not been able to use it with your game because it does not provide enough information to get the outcome i desire. an example is with lois i love her slave route but there were a few playthroughs i struggled to find the right path to get it so i enjoy the walkthrough aspect of mods
i don't use mods, unless they come from the dev. if they don't want to play the game multiple times, to try all the paths, that's on them, not you. write your game the way you want it. if someone wants to mod it, that's on them, and the results in their game is on them, as well. if you want to create a mod for them, it's up to you to make it work, but if they want someone else's mod, to basically cheat your game, they should be on their own. it's not your code causing the game to break, at that point. it's the mod you had nothing to do with.
Except for the fact that his code (in a pure unmodded playthrough) also breaks the game. I pick girl a, b and c to come work for me (scenes with picking whom to hire) and later in the game, girl d, e and f shows up in the reception as an employee.... Example, 2nd round of picking, I've NEVER ONCE picked Bree (the black girl) yet she still pops up being employed... And let's not get into the whole picking a backup (girl to hire) , just to being forced to pick a backup of your backup... I mean... Why have us pick at all if the game just ignores your picks and hires everyone?
Having an issue with my save from the roommate n it's not working with the revelations build
I use mods simply cause I wanna determine the outcome to ensure the progress/immersion I want from the game, instead of blind guessing, and as Jason pointed out, ZERO interest (time in his case) in replaying the game 500+ times trying each little minute variation. As suggested, colour-coding choices to indicate a certain "path" might be an idea Green = nice guy (girlfriend path) Blue = harem path (still nice guy) Yellow = dominant path (or whatever one might call it) Red = douche path where you whore them out ect... But yeah Tldr = mods cause I want to know in advance so I get the gameplay/progression/story I want
Maybe you could do put a build in guide into the game much like what the mod does so ppl can enjoy with option at the start to have it turned off or on for the run through. cos when playing the game through some of the option you get do look the same. Or have the option you want to show color coded to show the differnce in the option we have when deciding which paths to take.
There's also a subset (and possibly a rather large one) who want to know how their choices will affect how their game progresses. I figured out early on that the crash problem was likely due to that, so I wanted to see if it'd get fixed in a usable way. but it hasn't, so I've been replaying to get it to where I want it. Going back to old save files is useless because they don't work without a mod. And there's a level of stress inherent in trying to remember what choices I made the first time around. Especially given the length of time involved.
To tell you the truth I use them because I don't have the time to play the same game many times with different options to see all the different outcomes. so with a mod it helps me decide the options before hand. that is why im using one when i can. Thats why i can't play your next version of the game, because from the 1rst i had used mods and now i can't load the game to the other game :(
