Inheritance to Revelations - Step by Step
UPDATED: 27 April 2026
If you've had problems transitioning between the two parts of the game, this is for you. Make sure you have recent builds of both games. As of this posting, that's Inheritance Build 1218, Revelations Build 0008. Screenshots may show other version numbers, reflecting work in progress, but the builds listed should work without issues.
Start by running The Roommate: Inheritance.
Load a recent saved game. If you have extraneous save files left over from previous attempts go ahead and delete those, being careful not to delete the wrong things.
... and play through to the end...

The game is saved automatically in the first available free slot. You might want to take note of the slot number, particularly if you've saved games with different options.
As of Build 1218, there's a reminder that the game continues in Revelations.
You're returned to the main menu screen.
Close Inheritance before running The Roommate: Revelations.
Load the saved game from Inheritance.
You'll see a confirmation that you're playing a continuation game.
You can see that the Status Bar reflects the same information that you saw at the end of the previous game - the date and time are the same, as are other details like your bank balance
Keep going...
The game begins. Depending on your relationship, you might wake up on the couch or in bed with someone else, but you should see consistent values for things like your bank balance

I'm trying to transfer to Revelations version 0.0.8 from Inheritance version 12.17. I saved on the last scene in Inheritance and can see it in Revelations but it wont load even after like a minute. i also notice there a significant stutter when trying to quick save in Inheritance
I need help. I have Inheritance build 1217, but cannot find a viable download file for Revelations build 003. Can you help?

You can't yet! As I said in the first paragraph, those are from builds I'm still working on. They'll be along in due course!
hello Togs , no black screen " game save in slot ...." but i found the save in the middle of my other saves ( there was an empty slot)
My apologies, you're right, it only appeared in the context of an internal debugging mode. I'm changing that for the next build to be displayed prominently.
