I'm kinda sad that you didn't mention a common theory that states that the real Sun Wukong actually died and the one that accompanies Tripitaka is actually the six eared macaque. Basically, the Budda (and just about everyone else) decided that Wukong is way too much bother for his worth, and decided to replace him with a more docile alternative. Supporting this theory is the fact that from this point onward, Wukong behaves suspiciously well lol.

This just proves that in the end, monkeys greatest Enemy was monkey.

You know with there being four primates, it makes me think of that Sekiro level and if there's any motivation to it. I honestly like it.

Yes! I dared hope this was coming when Red mentioned a monkey the other day - but I recognized it was also possible it was just a monkey in conversation.
