A completely innocuous and not-at-all weirdly loaded concept!

One of the more unusual takes I've seen of this trope was in a Young Justice episode, where there was a sword that could only be wielded by a "pure of heart" - but the person who had it was "pure evil of heart", and therefore technically met the requirements. I thought it was a fun twist
Dragon Ball did the same thing. When Vegeta first reveals he can turn super saiyan, Gohan exclaims "I thought you had to have a 'pure heart'!" Vegeta's answer to this: "My heart IS pure. Pure evil!"
