Trope Talk: Magnificent Bastards
The cool thing about this thumbnail is, even if you have no idea who the character is, you totally get what archetype he represents.

Would deathstroke qualify as a magnificent bastard?
Depends. Teen Titans Deathstroke definitely. Arrow Deathstroke-meh.
Another great Magnificent Bastard quote: “Is it better to be respected or feared? I say, is it to much to ask for a little of both?”
"(Laughs) You son of a bitch"!
oooh this was awesome!
Hmmm. Would Baron Quinn from Into the Badlands qualify? He's charismatic as hell, is laser focused on controlling the Badlands, and is definitely a threating maniac.
Xanatos love is strong here xD
This entire video is obviously a Xanatos plot!
I can't help but think that's Xanatos from Gargoyles, but he was a good guy (I think? It's been DECADES since I've watched that show)
I'm excited for this trope talk. 🤣
