So could it fairly be said that Dante wrote most of the Inferno as a Dis tract about his political enemies?
Would love to see a Halloween Special on the Brothers Grimm and/or Hans Christian Andersen. Their stories are responsible for so many spooky tropes and also indirectly for Disney princess Halloween costumes.
I'm not part of the OTGW fandom, but I have to get this off my chest. As we know, to make the story palatable for a mass audience, McHale turns a meditation on death into a coming-of-age story. Wirt starts to reject his ego by choosing to play a bassoon instead of a clarinet, the instrument he feels most attached to. When he reveals the Beast to be a manipulator and a liar, the cello calls back to the beginning and the bassoon joins in counterpoint (the terror of the Unknown and Wirt's coming-of-age take equal importance.)
Ah! I love hearing people gush about this show! Thanks guys!
I’ve been waiting AGES for an Over the Garden Wall detail diatribe! Perfect for the first Friday of Autumn!!! 🎃🎃🧡🧡
