Will the book be available for purchase today? (Tue Jun 4)
Yes, in about 30 minutes!
Can’t wait to try the book. Oh, and Blue! You ever gonna get around to doing history videos on Australia? You’ve done a good portion of the British empire so far, but you’re missing that piece
maybe the Worst Venetian thought the Council of Ten would have sided with him, rather than what they actually ended up doing?
Congratulations on the book, Blue!
Lottery systems in government sounds both practical and religious. You get the statistical safeguard preventing politics from turning into a factional power grab, and a sort of God chose him because we drew lots like 7 times to get there. Who would have thought adding chance to a system could stabilize it?
And, for a merchant republic, luck is probably an important thing to measure in a leader.
I mean, having worked customer service, I can imagine why Calandario, after a long time working for a bunch of wealthy aristocrats might be. 'We're having a conspiracy to butcher the Venetian nobility to...' 'I'm in." 'We didn't tell you... we didn't tell you why we're doing it.' 'I said I'm in. Can I crush them with all the various models I made and they rejected?'
ooh, thats good. I thought it was Calandario figured "if he's the Prince, he'll let me do even more architecturing!"
"Beheaded for crimes." A truly earned legacy.
Guys just want to be "Decapitati Pro Criminibus" and it's fucking disgusting
