Do you guys plan on reacting to the Insidious films? They're from the same director as the first two Conjuring films and just as good
Coming in with another recommendation because I just watched it and I'm astonished at how good it was: Society of the Snow (2023) If you're down with subtitles, watch it, it's really incredible (based on a true story, and the survivors have said it's the most real depiction they've ever seen)
Definitely like the idea of an Elm Street watch through. Some of them are just pure schlock but there's a reason that series is so beloved.
The Haunting of Hill House is another I think you might enjoy, any of the Mike Flanagan series really, if you haven't seen them yet. They are short. Usually 8 episodes I think.
By the way, loving the idea of Wednesday's Wednesdays! Since that is only one season, may I suggest for after: The Good Place? It's hilarious, and deep, and gut-wrenching, and hilarious again, and full of twists, so I'd love to see y'all's reaction to it!
I think Nightmare 1 is a classic but I chose Final Destination because I appreciate every film of the series. To me, it's like listening to a single music album and enjoying every track.
Seriously, I once read an incredible deep-dive on the series by a well renowned movie critic, that ended up saying these movies are a reflection on death, destiny and nihilism at the level of Krzysztof Kieslowski (a legendary Polish director of very philosophical arthouse films), but in a campy absurd way, that had me laughing for days, because it's kinda true! I won't post a link, because it's chock full of spoilers for the whole franchise, but search for 'The Liberating Beauty of the Final Destination Movies', by Bilge Ebiri. It's a real fun ride of a franchise, and I say it as a non-horror fan who mostly subscribed for the GoT reactions.
