[Master Post] Mountain Trail - A Simple Map for Random Encounters
The mountain trail twists silently through the dense pines, its rocky surface worn smooth by countless travelers long forgotten. The wind carries the scent of damp earth and old moss, while somewhere deeper in the woods, branches crack beneath unseen footsteps. For a moment, the path seems peaceful… perhaps a little too peaceful. Then, ahead of you, something moves between the trees.
Sometimes we just need simple maps.
Not every adventure has to end with a magical catastrophe at the edge of the planes during the attack of a cyber-pumpkin.
Sometimes all you need is a mountain trail. A simple path through the wilderness that can become a place for an ambush by bandits, goblins, hungry wolves… or, well, possibly a cyber-pumpkin attack after all.
In any case - this is one of those quick, practical maps that can save the day during random encounters and unexpected travel scenes.
