Is there anything interesting you came across in your research that didn't make it into the final video?

this is a very silly question based on the fact that the OGL was inspired by open source, but do you think that the OGL has the potential to be abused on as hard as open source is being abused right now due to AI? (not a part of the question, just some context if you weren't aware of it) for context a bunch of open source repositories are being copied with AI in a specific way to avoid needing to license the original creators, theyre also busy receiving a ton of ai slop contributions by people who want to say they contributed but really just did one thing and then dipped.

Will you try playing another RPG session in the near future? If so, can you please attempt to invite a guest?

I'm curious why the video didn't talk about the OGL controversy last year that had WotC changing the very freedom the video discussed and many creators exploring alternative options. Did it not fit with the video's thesis?

I believe it was touched on near the end of the video. Around 16:55.

Can you train AI to come up with an AIP LARP game?

Have any of you tried other TTRPG systems? Personally, I love playing D&D, but don't always vibe with the high fantasy setting and tend to prefer less rule-intesive systems.

There was a brief period in the early '70s when D&D instructions were passed around as mimeographed sheets, each generation degraded from the prior until some fan typed a fresh copy and started a new reproduction chain. I was introduced to D&D during those heady days, when fandom was spreading like fire, and geeks and nerds were suddenly having active, social fun together. While I enjoyed the gathering, I wasn't tracking the game well enough to stay engaged. Too much was happening all at once, and I'd often become lost, disengaged from the story. Someone suggested I try being the dungeon master (DM), and everything changed for me. It wasn't that I wanted or needed to be in charge, but simply that I could track things better when I had a job to do, something to focus upon. One thing that worked to my favor was that, while I was a decent storyteller, I had little imagination for creating the story. Pulling together bits, pieces and clues from the other players' characters became, for me, like building the story from the Legos they were giving me. I only had to supply a sketch of the landscape, and the players provided the light. While I had trouble bringing characters to life myself, I had a knack for giving them challenging situations. I was thrilled when the players enjoyed the twists and turns I'd toss their way. I started creating my own dungeons on quadrille-ruled graph paper. Several sheets taped together, and carefully folded between sessions. Then an artist in our group started making these little tent cards with a depiction of each player's character. Seeing those drawings combined with the players acting to animate them was absolutely amazing. Having a seat at that table is among my favorite memories. Finally, the question: Sabrina, do you think you'd like D&D better if you tried being a DM? It was night-and-day for me, and I suspect it could be for you as well.

Has Melissa been able to decide whether she had fun playing D&D?
