Project Aztec, Phase Two
Today, I recorded two hours of voiceover, edited out the (many) times I had to stop and tell the cat to shut the fuck up, and got a few minutes edited.
It looks like Part One will cover the beginning of the expedition all the way to the day the Spaniards entered Tenochtitlan. Part two will cover the meeting between Montezuma and Cortes, Montezuma’s death, and the fall of Tenochtitlan.
This project has been great, but it’s also the biggest thing I’ve ever tackled. I hope it’ll meet you expectations, the plan is still to have the first part up before the end of the month. I’m going to wait until both parts are totally completed before uploading anything.
Beyond that, the Crackdown will return in the form of a podcast. It’ll be longer, and include some “radio play” style skits. This will be uploaded with Part Two, and Barack Obama will be on for an interview.
Thanks for your support and patience,
DJ PC

hyped abt the podcast!
Excited for the podcast
Have you read or come across the account of Narvaez expedition by cabeza de vaca? It was a failed mission going out about the same time as Cortes tenure and landed in Florida where everyone died before reaching shore but a few men, they were taken by natives and lived with them for years. Fascinating account of Spanish administration, mindset, and tactics from a firsthand account. I think it’s published as “a land so strange” now.
Real excited for Bronco Bomba
I love you Cobbler.
hope the barack obama interview is you just constantly asking "what about bombing yemeni children makes you so hard" until you get sent to guantanamo
