THE FUTURE IS NOW(ish)!

I have been experimenting, creating, loving, hating, and fighting Blender for around a year and a half now.  To be clear, during most of that time I still had a real job and was making videos on the side, so the learning process has been very slow.  Not to mention, due to the fact I already had 200k+ subscribers when I started out, I had to be very results-oriented and couldn't dally with tutorials for objects/scenes I didn't need for videos.

That being said, this is going to be my first video exclusively in Blender.  This is a whole new workflow that much more closely resembles the workflow of a functional and productive adult, rather than the workflow of a homeless schizo who stole a gaming computer.  I will describe it in more depth later.

Blender is an open source 3D modeling/animation program that I, on one hand, would enthusiastically recommend to anyone wanting to improve their videos, and yet, on the other hand?  It's very much a source of frustration for me.

I don't like cameras or lighting or microphones, because I'm a control freak.  If I don't get a shot I need or the equipment fucks up or my delivery fucks up?  I just need to accept it.  Whereas, with Blender, I am given total and complete control over every god damn pixel from now until forever.  The only thing stopping me, right now, from showing you a photorealistic F-22 Raptor blowing up Todd Howard is my skill with the program (and Youtube's Terms of Service).  Few youtubers can match that level of ability.  I need to be able to do that, and I'm not going to happy until I can.  Also, Overwatch porn.

As I type this, my computer is doing the 20 or so hours of math required for my videos to enter a new era.  An era where I can more perfectly convert my ideas into videos for you.  An era where every pixel belongs to me, rather than the callous chaos of the universe.  You can upload the Blender file to some websites and have a server farm render it all out, but, well...I'm still absolutely god awful at optimization lol.  That price in the picture?  That's how much it would cost for me to do that (in cycles, but still).
