Death, Taxes, Writer's Block.
I get asked for advice by those wanting to start their own YouTube Channels a lot, and the advice I always give is this:
1. Start
2. Have fun, and the rest won't matter.
But, if anyone wanted to make videos like mine (God only knows why you'd want to do that), I'd have a third piece of advice:
3. Write. Write when you're bored, write when you're angry, write when you're sad, write when the last thing you want to do is write.
I find the best way to cure writer's block is to just write through it. "Writer's block" doesn't mean you can't write, it means you can't write anything you like. But, I write anyway. I fill page after page with pseudo-intellectual, inconsistent, unfunny garbage. Then, eventually, I hit something good. It is at this point, I can throw all the garbage away.
Writing garbage is key to my creative process, and it took me far too long to accept that it IS a part of my process. My best videos have a six-page script, but 20 pages I threw away.
I'm happy to say the garbage part is over, but God almighty is there a lot of it. I'm hoping to finish soon, thank you as always for your patience.

It took me way too long to figure out how to change my profile name
Who’s quote is that at the end?
kurt vonnegut, cats cradle
Q: do you write at the same computer (I assume you’re using a computer)? Do you memorize your scripts?
Thanks man. I need to go re-read Vonnegut.
If I ever start to right anything, I'll try your process. It's been years since I've just sat down and wrote something. So thank you for the tip/advice/idea. I hope you enjoyed your vacation, man!
Y no kitty Joey tho?
We write our own life stories and right now I’m in the garbage phase
This is so inspiring! It makes me think of Fahrenheit 451 where they encourage you to write even if no one will read it. I can’t wait to see what you make next!!!
