Lens Test (Featuring: Loud Cat)

Just got a new camera lens for the next video.  As you've probably gathered, I love shooting in moody low-light.  I like  this for two reasons:  

1. Most YouTubers shoot video with WAY too aggressive lighting, so this  is a nice way to differentiate myself.  I think they do it cause it's  more flattering?  I don't know why they do it, it's always struck me as  odd and artificial, when the best youtube videos feel amateur-ish.   That's part of the appeal. 

2. It sets a mood and I believe it to feel more intimate.  I want the  viewer to feel like I'm in their room, talking right to them.  This is  just an illusion, of course.  I am not in your room.  I am in your  walls.  A minor but important distinction.  

The video will be about what the Ancient Romans thought of the cultures  around them, it's an incredibly fascinating subject and has been a very  fun video to work on.  I hope you enjoy it, and your patreon support has  permitted me to buy the necessary books, props, and equipment to shoot  this just how I want it.  Thank you!
