Alright, so what's with that Geronimo thing?
The fact is that I'm in a shit financial situation and am still crawling my way out of the pit I dug for myself. I'm still hopeful that YouTube will reinstate me into the partner program, if you've got the time then bothering them on Twitter would be nice. I'm starting a podcast with friends as well, I'll share that soon.
All the same, you should know how I'm spending my time. I'm eager to do a longer historical project, and the Geronimo one was about half-completed when personal issues had to take a front seat. I'm finishing moving all my books at the end of the month, and will resume production on that video then.
I can't promise a release date, but I can say that I just did a rewrite to the introduction, so rest-assured it's not something I've lost interest in. The video will, in fact, center around James Baldwin, specifically his quote: "People are trapped in history, and history is trapped in them."
The video will cover the Apache-American wars and will discuss themes of sacrifice, violence, and how our environment shapes us. Like with The Mad God of the Yucatan, I want to take a historical figure who is niche but controversial and make them feel complex and real. I approach history from a very individual perspective, and this project has already shaped up to be something of a statement on that.
I appreciate your patience and support as always, you've helped make a difficult time far easier. I know the recent content has been something of a departure, but gaming stuff is coming soon, and history not long after.
Adele lyrics of the day:
"There ain't no gold in this river
That I've been washing my hands in forever
...
Go easy on me, baby
I was still a child
Didn't get the chance to
Feel the world around me
I had no time to choose what I chose to do
So, go easy on me"
I can't believe I've been doing this for five years. Do you have any earthly idea how fucking stupid I was five years ago? I can't wait to learn how stupid I am today, and I hope you're there to see as well.
I've been threatening to hit half a million subscribers for quite some time now. It happening during this period of transition and struggle seems apt (if indeed, it does happen). Thanks for being here.
Thanks,
DJ PC

{{NOT IN A PARASOCIAL WAY}} your writing speaks to me with the same volume as Hemingway and Kundera. keep it up.
All I can say is: hell yeah Cobbler. You’re worth the wait, honey. But like, not in a gay way. Unless…?
I love your content so much, it really is worth my money.
What's the best way to donate so you get the biggest cut?
This is the place! Thank you so much for your support
Freshly subscribed. I am trying to read more. I bought The Fire Next Time expecting to force myself through the first 10 pages. I ended up finishing it in a day, it was so good.
If you’d like some more challenging Baldwin, “Go Tell it on the Mountain” is a much more dense but rewarding read!
In the least symbiotic way possible, I only joined Patreon to support you because your work speaks to me more than a lot of stuff has recently. I guess I'm glad my support is actually going to someone that can use it. Slay boots diva etc
Sharing gratitude for the content you make. I placed a hold for The Fire Next Time at my local library whenever its available. I trust the earnestness in your recommendation, I'll be buying it on my next paycheck either way, but hopefully I'll get my grubby mitts on it soon enough. Thank you for the work you do.
Let me know when ur financial situation gets better😂
The cycle continues
Sir swag does a video on a youtube whistle blower and how their systems work. The video was about being hack so I don't know if the partner program makes the same criteria but if your not getting through that's by design. You have 3 choices. Know someone with pull in youtube, legal action (so your case is looked at), and get around 5000 like or more on a tweet calling for action to escalated to management. This is the video so it's not just dude trust me. https://youtu.be/pvlR0O0wh40?si=hKBiOpQp-f5PE7y1
Get that sweet sweet VA disability, peach boy. You seem like a 100% kinda guy, and that's a free $4k/mo for the rest of your life, and usually tax benefits in whatever state you end up in. Doesn't matter how long you've been out, doesn't matter if you think you don't deserve it. Do it, because you do deserve it - the military takes everything from you, take a little back.
What about making a historical/shit-post cookbook to help fund some of the absence of youtube revinue. Just collect all of the realistic recipes described by historians who were insulting other cultures. Spices and spoiled meats sounds like another way to describe cured lunch meat. Foul fish filled pots of black goop is fish sauce or may be misidentified soy sauce. And all the euro-centric nightshade panic over tomatoes and potatoes. Make a kindle book of the recipes and link it in the video disruption.

Hey, don't be too hard on yourself, hold yourself accountable for sure, only avenue for growth possible, but sometimes life just fucks with you. We're about the same age, give or take a few months, and despite everything, you're still doing better than me. Hell at least you're trying to confront your addiction, can't say the same for me, partly cause I don't want to, but mostly cause I'm scared of thinking and feeling so much. It may look shite to you, where you're standing, but from my spot in this here pit, you could be standing taller than Everest, and it ain't just shadows on a wall.
Hope the path makes itself evident soon man, you've got support!
There is no "departure" from normal content - everything that comes out of your sick and demented head is, as you said yourself, far too much like me. I love you, and i would watch you critique your own bowel movement
I'm also currently in financial woes for a multitude of reasons we got this dj the road is a rough and violent one but we will tread it anyway
What are your thoughts on the industrial Revolution and its effects?
Some might even say, it's consequences.
Transitional periods are always significantly difficult. You’ve without a doubt experienced them before from leaving the country for the Air Force as well as separating. I’m separating from the Marine Corps next week and have to move across country as well. However, your videos and posts greatly help me in dealing with the stress of the situation. Half a million is coming soon.
Separately if it is something you are interested in, Brandon Herrera is a huge fan of the channel and would likely be willing to do a collaboration. Not to sell out but he’s just under 4 million subscribers.
I joined your patreon because your videos are great and u deserve the money for your work which I enjoy so much pls keep making videos
Man i know this is some parasocial shit for me to say, but seeing you scream into the void in your videos makes me feel like im not the only one who sees how fucking absurd everything is, while also genuinely learning things. I hope the universe stops taking a dump on you and you find happiness, maybe just a golden shower instead.
A bitmoji shitpost ruining your finances is some real shit
I joined your Patreon specifically because I saw YT kicked you off the program. Please consider producing members' only content of any type, it will definitely raise your Patreon numbers quite significantly.
