October News & Previews #2

In a month we’ll be running our 3rd mission jam, so don’t forget to sign up!

The OPR Mission Jams are mission writing marathons, where fans are asked to write a one-page mission to be played with OPR Games following a common theme. Participation is completely free and at the end of the mission jam we will highlight your favorite missions on our Website!

The mission jam runs from November 16th, at 8PM UK time / 3PM ET time, to November 22nd, at 8PM UK time / 3PM ET time

At the top of post, you'll see some early previews of the what we are working on for November!

The Void Space Stalkers Scourges make up the main forces among the trenches. Their main two loadouts are either Trench Rifles, or Trench Pistols and Hand Weapons. One will give them a decent 24" range with their shots, while the other will give them more attacks in melee but only a 12" range. Their Shadowborn Army-wide Rule gives them some protection from return fire as enemies lose 4" of range when attacking or charging them. They'll also get access to many special and heavy weapons, and unit attachments like the Medic which will give them Regeneration or the Radio which can extend the range in which friendly Heroic units can affect the Scourges.

Please remember that these are early WIP shots of the models and not the final versions of the models.

Make sure to follow OPR on Instagram to see tons of pictures and videos of our painted miniatures.

That's it for now, happy wargaming!

where are the rules ???? new army and no rules

M
MightyMarcos · October 19, 2026

I'm definitely not a fan of the smoke/vapor. And I agree with a lot of the other comments about their gear being too generic. I personally was hoping for something similar to the engineers from Prometheus. Biomechanical. As far as them being blindfolded? I could go either way, because I always took the shadow stalkers' blindfolds as a religious thing.

Disappointed with the stalkers; what a shame. Hard agree with the other comments about more archaic weapons

S
Steven Elkhome · October 17, 2026

These are exactly the type of sci-fi models I'm always looking for. They look like they'd be comfortable in a fantasy setting, but they have clearly sci-fi guns and extra bits.

Zrune lord · October 17, 2026

These would make me sub again. Kudos, very nice models. 3 different heads would be a plus for all to choose. Can't picture the smoke in my head though & I would make the tail thicker , shorter & closer to the body to avoid support removal nightmares.

S
Steven Elkhome · October 17, 2026

I love these guys.

Spooky Rosalyn · October 16, 2026

I honestly really like the smoke coming out of their suits and guns. It’s like shadows are just emanating from them, super cool! I think I agree with others that they look cooler with their faces mostly covered, but as long as there’s different options I don’t mind it.

The mechanicus rifles and generic swords are... a choice

I
Inquisitor Ragnerrübe · October 16, 2026

Please can we have more robs ?

R
Ragathiel · October 16, 2026

The Shadow Stalkers had a wonderfully creepy & mystical vibe that's just missing from these guys. I agree with those who've said they need a more arcane appearance for their gear, and some sort of decorative motif like their fantasy counterparts' mask and sigil

I
Inquisitor Ragnerrübe · October 16, 2026

100% Consent

CavemamsAction · October 15, 2026

I was not shure about shadow stalkers in grimdark future, but these models are greate! They realy feel grim dark :) I think only downside are the swords / deggers

J
Jazztaz · October 15, 2026

These look fantastic!! I really like the theme of this army.

B
Bflay95 · October 15, 2026

I get why people don’t like them, but if you take them as a totally different entity than a sci-fi version of stalkers and more like a creepy alien race, they’re pretty cool. I like the helmets and faces

J
Jessica Pink · October 15, 2026

ccurious to see how this comes together regarding the void stalkers. Am sure there'll be people tha love the design direction you take them, fot those who prefer the vibes of the fantasy ones, am sure with opr's rules, it wouldnt be too hard to just use the fantasy ones vs scifi armies?

L
Loke Lindblad · October 15, 2026

The helmets are great and love the smoke

M
Max · October 15, 2026

I like them, though I hoped for a bit more WW1 army from hell vibes.

C
Corentin THERY · October 15, 2026

I'm in love with the rifle & helmet version ! Not a huge fan of the dagger ... Design is weird and don't fit with the whole mini (and smoke is maybe too much)

B
BrackFllo · October 15, 2026

I think the helmetless heads Look very much Like Soul-snatcher cults. I would Build the VSS all with Helmets and use the heads (if available as Single pieces) for the other army.

G
Googs · October 15, 2026

My first thought was "More ratmen?" until I saw the unhelmeted version, which made me think maybe they were a version of SSC Neophytes or something? It feels like a cross in-between.

B
Brandon Ryan · October 15, 2026

These are incredibly cool! Usually I’m more of a fan of the fantasy side, but I could see myself printing a small army of these!

M
MechaRoss · October 15, 2026

I like the eyes. Makes them feel more like aliens for a sci-fi setting

O
Ofnightmare · October 15, 2026

Can we get a fiend hero for both versions of the Stalkers?

D
Duncan Owensboggs · October 15, 2026

These designs are fine I guess. The smoke, particularly on the backpack just seem like its there. Just a little wisp on the top, serving no particular purpose. And if its coming out of the weapons why only 1 side? Just a few weapons with smoke coming off both sides will work very well in my opinion. Final Comment, Love the helmets but it just feels wrong to see their eyes.

D
DarthP00P00 · October 14, 2026

Overall impressions are pretty positive. I agree with others that a fun carry over from the AoF S.Stalkers would be some kind of eye cover other then the full helmet. Maybe a visor like Cyclops from X-Men, or La Forge from Star Trek Next Generation. Almost feels like I'm committing a sin looking them in the eye. Like taking the hood off a Jawa, you just wouldn't think of it lol. Can't wait to see the rest of the range develop.

j
johnathan cuda · October 14, 2026

These are so cool

D
Dave Harfield · October 14, 2026

I agree with those who say they be eyeless. I didn't mind the backpack but would prefer weirder/archaic looking weapons. Maybe swap the pistols and rifles for Jezails and similar and the daggers for Chakram?

A
Alexsandro Fuzari · October 14, 2026

I was hyped for the Void Stalkers, but I have to admit I didn't like the models. I was expecting something more "organic"—something more "decadent" or reminiscent of the Shadow Stalkers' Labyrinth. But I'll wait for the upcoming models.

R
Ryan Rieder · October 14, 2026

Would also love to see a version with the masks, like in the army icon art!

C
Chris Reynolds · October 14, 2026

Great start to the range, but I think the smoke coming from the weapons is a bit much. Other than that, solid first unit.

J
Jilly Taboga · October 14, 2026

I would never put fancy equipament or eletronic in Shadow Stalkers, the rifles, visors or other equipement should be more "magic", organic or a kind of void lovecraft. I cant imagine one of Shadows Stalkers working in a office making a plan for breather or a rifle.

I
Inquisitor Ragnerrübe · October 16, 2026

So true 🫠👍

P
PoodlesWithGuns · October 14, 2026

glad to see the stalkers getting a sci-fi version. but got to say the smoke coming from the guns and the swords as well as the general look of the weapons are a miss for me. Same goes for the backpack design it's just a huge box. so reminiscent of the fantasy rats. doing something with more of a bio-organic metal look to the guns and maybe a scimitar style sword instead of a straight edge would be big wins for me. either way love the helmeted concepts. those helmets will def have to be the main builds.

G
Googs · October 15, 2026

Absolutely agree - I hope the smoke portions are optional / removable.

G
Gatchaman · October 14, 2026

Wow! The void stalkers go really hard! Another win for One page! If I have to nitpick, I'll agree that I would prefer eyeless stalkers, but I already plan to cover their eyes with a printed visor or tattered eye cover in green stuff. But since I really like the helmeted option, maybe I'll just do that! I wonder if the dome would be cooler with a honeycomb pattern. And I'm also bringing back the fangs!

N
Nenad Savanovic · October 14, 2026

Interesting. Definitely excited to see the rest of the range, though.

J
Jester Turncoat · October 14, 2026

Would it be reasonable to have the visor be a separate piece with the head inside? Printing the visor with clear resin would enable some cool smoke effects and battle damage

M
Maurits van Mastrigt · October 14, 2026

I like were this is going! Not too sure about the tails though. They look a cut like rat tails. Maybe multiple tails/tendrils will make them more otherworldly?

B
Benjamin B McRae · October 14, 2026

Even just splitting the ends about 1/3 of the way could do that, I think. I agree that they look quite similar to the rats as they are...

F
Finnbar Connell · October 14, 2026

Really liking the direction of the stonkers :D

g
gulinu gulinu · October 14, 2026

Kudos for these minis. 👍👍👍

D
Daydam · October 14, 2026

I love the Stalkers, but miss having their eyes covered, it made them feel more disturbing!

D
Dane Johannsen · October 14, 2026

Yeah I have to agree I really like the fact that they’re all shrouded in fantasy shadow stalkers
