September News & Previews #3

Get ready to grab your new Jade & Claw box set on October 20th!

Ever since we announced Jade & Claw, the all new box set for Grimdark Future, the first and most frequent question from the community has been: “When is it coming out?!” And we’re happy to say that today we have the answer:

Jade & Claw will Launch on Gamefound on October 20th.

We’ve launched the Open Beta for v3.6! This is the third v3.6 beta, our previous two betas were open to Patreon members only, and we’re excited to open it up to everyone for testing. This beta is live now and is for our main-line games: Grimdark Future, Grimdark Future: Firefight, Grimdark Future: Star Quest, Age of Fantasy, Age of Fantasy: Skirmish, Age of Fantasy: Regiments, & Age of Fantasy: Quest.

This beta incorporates all the feedback we’ve gotten from our previous two closed betas, and we are so happy that so many of our Patrons were able to participate. But now it’s time to see what everyone thinks, and we’re looking forward to hearing what you think of these changes!

The beta will be open from now until September 27th, giving you three full weekends of gaming to test them out. So please, kick the tires, build your lists, and get involved! This is your chance to help shape the future of One Page Rules.

Our friends at Haunt’s Wargaming have put together a battle report featuring the Alien Hives and the Eternal Dynasty for Jade & Claw. This battle is just a standard mission using spearhead deployment, something simple as a great intro for a new player to the game.

At the top of post, you'll see some early previews of the what we are working on for October!

The Ratmen Clans Mecha-Raptor Riders use their Mecha Technology to give themselves extra speed in their operations. The Mecha-Raptor gives the rats Fast in addition to their Scurry faction rule for a total of 4 extra inches on an Advance and 6 extra on a Charge for a huge threat range. Strider making sure terrain also isn't much of a factor in getting where they need to be. Once in melee, Ravage(1) can cause some additional wounds with some lucky rolls, which also bypasses any armor saves.

Please remember that these are early WIP shots of the models and not the final versions of the models.

That's it for now, happy wargaming!

Not really liking these mounts. I was really hoping they would be a sort of powered drift scooter with a big mean front wheel. These look like cheap Chinese robots that fall down and thrash themselves apart.

Hey gang, criticism is welcome but be excellent to each other. We had to remove a comment thread that was getting too heated.

Is there an ETA on last month's legendary base?

O
One Page Rules · September 22, 2026

We don't have an ETA, yet. We will send a notice through MMF when it's complete.

First Model in the "rat"-range which i don't like ...

I appreciate that the army has a distinct aesthetic but I think this model could be pushed more towards "dinosaur" without sacrificing that. Personally I'd like to see bigger claws (lespecially on the feet. Something to give it a more raptor-like look.

Seconded, I'd also would like to see something more of a raptor silouetthe

I think they look great. I half expected them to be just mecha versions of the saurian raptors. This definitely has a much more rodent feel which seems appropriate

I'm not a fan. I was really hoping for a natural silhouette like the Mecha ogre and instead we got a weird looking ball with legs. Obviously it draws visually from the Mecha Walker which just doesn't fit as it should draw from the other mechanical creature the Mecha Ogre.

Also smaller point but the GIANT WHEEL in the hip just dominates the model visually which is just feels wrong. I feel like it makes it harder to notice the front of the model breaking the impact of the model as a mecha-raptor and making it just a weird shaped robot.

Aww they look cool. I like them.

I like the idea, but the execution isnt great. Dont get me wrong, the overall idea is awesome, but the shapes just arent there. I feel the torso being a wheel feels really forced, and it makes the already thin legs look even thinner :(

I think its the hip joint. The models look great, the body is fine. But the hip seems smaller than the knee which. I think the model is great and would be happy with it like this, but if the hip joint was 2x bigger, I think it would be perfect.
