At the top of post, you'll see some early previews of the what we are working on for August!
As part of the Legendary model for August, The Combat Assault Diorama, The Alien Hives are getting a plethora of New Units.
The Psycho-Grunts use their Psychics to protect themselves with Resistance, dampening any enemy magic that might try to harm them.
The Support Grunts are bred with large heavy weapons, Bio-Cannons sending out a Rending Blast of damage. Relentless giving them extra hits on 6's with those devastating weapons.
The Shadow Leapers are Stealthy advanced attackers. Starting close to the enemy with Scout, they'll kill with their Razor Claws before any alarms get sounded.
The Synapse Tyrant is a towering Psychic entity, represented with Caster(3) it can cast plenty of magic each turn, and protect itself with Resistance just like the smaller Psycho-Grunts.
Please remember that these are early WIP shots of the models and not the final versions of the models.
That's it for now, happy wargaming!

I'm so excited for these! When you guys said you probably weren't going to add units to AH when I messaged about it in spring I was starting to look at kitbashing my own versions of shadow leapers and neuro grunts. Still hoping for the different weapon options for assault and shooter grunts as well as some grunt veterans
Amazing News esp. for the new Boxed Set! I was assuming that we would get one for AoF instead, but maybe the next one!? :D ... I don't like the sculpts of the Shadow-Leapers esp. the different weapons of their extra arms and the face/maw looks strange. Maybe try one with tentacles, or the face from the Grunts, or bigger Warriors instead? Keep up the great work and I am looking forward to v3.6! :) ...
I was just thinking that I wished there were OPR models for the psycho grunts. How great. The shadow leapers also look especially great. Very much looking forward to this drop. Thanks, y'all.
These are fantastic! Looking forward to printing them
Im a bit confused, are the alien hives old units getting archived? Are these the new updated models?
These are entirely new models, for unit profiles that have existed without OPR minis for a few years now 🙂
Sorry I'm new here a question please. I'm also trying to make my own TT wargame and I also thought about a race that has similarities with Tyranids like these figures. Does GW not sue for IP for these miniatures? I'm total new on these kind of stuff and the legal advise of the AI was that I am not allowed to make miniatures that resembles the miniatures of the company that put the cease and desist per court.
No one can copyright "bugs from space." GW has copyright of the name Tyranid and will go after people who make direct copies of their miniatures, but using a similar concept is fine as long as it isn't a direct copy.
These models are incredible! I may never use the synapse tyrant, but I'm printing and painting one, for sure.
