v3.6 Closed Beta #2 is Live for Patreon Supporters
Today we're launching the second closed beta for v3.6! This closed beta is open to all of our paid Patrons (Tier 1 and Higher), and is for testing the update for our main-line games: Grimdark Future, Grimdark Future: Firefight, Grimdark Future: Star Quest, Age of Fantasy, Age of Fantasy: Skirmish, Age of Fantasy: Regiments, & Age of Fantasy: Quest!
This is our SECOND beta, incorporating a lot that we learned from the first beta back in June. Thank you to all the Patrons who participated in that first beta, we're looking forward to seeing what you think of these new changes!
The v3.6 Closed Beta #2 will run from today until August 23rd, so if you'd like to help test and shape the future of One Page Rules, please get involved!
About the v3.6 Closed Beta #2
Like the first beta, we'll be using a 'static' format, meaning that we won't be making any changes to the game or armies (other than emergency bug fixes) for the duration of the beta and will collect feedback through a survey after the beta ends on August 23rd.
Unlike the first beta, all the books will now be downloadable through a link on the Army Forge Beta web app. This includes the new army rules as well as new beta rulebooks.
To access the beta, follow this link: https://army-forge-beta.onepagerules.com/
Playing With Friends
Whilst this is a “closed” beta (as in, only patrons can log in to the beta site of army-forge), you are totally free and encouraged to play the beta with your friends that are not patrons. To do so, you can show them the contents of the beta site and build army lists for them, as well as show them any of the advanced rules that you’re using for your games.
That being said, please don’t share any of the PDFs from either the beta armies or the advanced rules online (public discords, forums, etc.), as this content is not ready for public release.
Providing Feedback
Since this is a “static” beta, we’re not going to be collecting feedback throughout. There are discord channels available for you to chit chat amongst yourselves, but those won’t be actively monitored by the OPR team. Instead, all feedback will be collected at the end of the beta period via a survey, which will be sent to you via e-mail.
When you open the beta on army-forge, you should get a pop-up that allows you to input your e-mail, which will then be used to send you the survey. We won’t be using the e-mails we collect like this for any other purposes, and if there is another beta you will have to sign up to receive the survey for that one again.
This is not mandatory, and you can access the beta without signing up for the survey as well.
Not a Patron and Want to Join the Beta?
To get instant access to the new beta, all you'll need to do is join our Patreon at Tier 1 or higher. Not only will get access to the v3.6 Beta Rulebooks and Army Forge, but you'll also get a slew of other rewards to improve your games of OPR, from Narrative Campaigns, Short Stories & Missions, to a treasure trove of 3D Printable miniatures for Tier 2 and Tier 3 backers, and more!
Happy Wargaming!

You know what this beta lacks for me (or at least what I failed to find) ? Changelog. It would be great to have a changelog to see what was changed from previous rules and from previous beta.
At the top of the beta site there is a button that says "Download Beta Rulebooks" which also includes a 13 page design notes document. :)
Where is the correct place to ask questions about these? I have a couple. Is it correct that Hero is 6" in GF and 12" in GFF? Reading through GFF I can't see where Toughness is defined as it's not included in the Special Rules section despite still appearing as such in the Army Builder.
There is a dedicated chat for this on Discord, make sure to join us there!
this is my first beta that I'm taking part in here, is there anywhere we can see like a full change list?

I'm just took quick look at army-wide rules and it's getting better, but not quite there yet 😅 You guys have amazing Basic rule set and overcomplicating it 🤔
Overcomplicating it? Pretty much the opposite; the army-wide rules are incredibly bland and doesn't seem to be any hope in those budging (alongside spells).
Oh boy, still trying triplification in skirmish... The sheer amount of dice rolling is really slowing down the game.
Even triple the amount would at most be 12 dice at one. And that only rarely :) most of the time you should stay well under ten and rolling two or five dice doesn't feel like such a difference to me.
Excited to dig into this one like the first. Loving this style format for beta
