May Previews & Roadmap
In May the Orcs storm out of their fortresses. Led by the Orc Boss and the Bone Shaman, the Iron Warriors are the mainstay of the army, brutish, angry and ready for a fight. The Iron Brutes are heavy armored Orcs with strong muscular frames giving them beast like qualities. The Tusk-beast Chariot is a mobile war platform that's dangerous from all sides. Tusk-beasts up from will rip and tear, while the orcs in the back slash and stab.
The Ratmen Clans start their mission in May as well. This tactical team of valiant vermin is lead by the Clan Handler, giving orders though coms as situations change. The Operators are multi-skilled rats that perform most of a missions primary duties. The Sharpshooters are specialists in getting close to the enemy silently so they can take out enemy commanders with their Sniper Carbines. The Burrower tank is a sleekly designed runner style vehicle that gets the rats to their entry point.
You'll also get a new Quest Hero, a new Short Story with Mission, and early access to the A Study in Treachery campaign for Age of Fantasy: Quest as well as early access to the Testing the Limits campaign for Grimdark Future: Star Quest

Oh man, I don't know if I can resist this. I've wanted junk-ship space rats for so many years now. I don't even have a resin printer yet.
i recently upgraded to a miniature tier and had a question, are there no base and game aid files this month?
Not convinced about the vehicles. If they're going to be making tunnels, they would look a lot more like the machine used for the channel tunnel. Also the infantry weapons look good, but dont quite work with fabric tied to them. They should either look scrappy or advanced, but advanced with bandages on doesn't make much sense.
So...uh, this made me sub.... How do I claim the models?

I know some are complaining about the Ratmen vehicle being a bit too complex, but I honestly love it!
Just joined, why is it so difficult to download files? Where are the file?
The process from sign-up to full MMF access takes about 3 days. Dunno why; just know it happened to me and I see it come up here often.
Just seen the Goblin mega walker 😞, good job i have a custom death walker list, on the other hand i like the self destruction on the tanks, as it happens I've been running that on my walkers since day one 😉

Some absolute bangers this month, Quest models look great, I'm hyped for Iron Orcs, and can't wait for the SS legendary!
those orcs are really cool
I never thought I would want to paint the ratmen army, but looking at these makes me want to start. I already have the Jackle army that works as a perfect cross of the old west scifi. Now with these, I can expand the world.
Not immediate print and paint for me this month but that's fine since I'm still working on change daemons from last month. The shadowstalker titan looks bonkers. So much smooth surface for painting fun as well!

That Daemons of Lust Warlock is one of the best models I've seen from you guys. Like ever. It actually made me look twice.
Okay, I love all the rat models. Even the tanks - they have such a cool retro vibe. And the Orcs! I think basically all my issues with the sci-fi Orcs are fixable by kitbashing them with these guys.
I was not prepared for the awesomeness of the Ratmen Clans. Just wow! I might need to repair my printer and get back into the painting competitions
I like that orcs are different to those created by other creators. Anyway I'll keep my army by Avatars of war.
The ratmen look amazing. But im not so keen on the combat tank. It doesn't seem like a "burrower". It has more weapons than the borrower tank actual has (maybe its a change in the next update im unaware of). It looks cool, but seems more like the combat tank than the borrower. Ive always pictured the borrower like the dwarves drill tank. The actual rats though, im super excited for.
The new tokens will not be in this release but June?
The new tokens are already available. Just re-download them from the welcome pack.
I'm probably in the minority but I really don't like any of the models lately, the game is called grimdark future yet the rats look like a Saturday morning cartoon, no darkness or anything.
If you use the models as a base and spend a little time kitbashing, I think you could get the grimdark look you want and keep your army unique.
I was waiting for more of the old TItans for Tier 3, not "recent" ones. :( Generally I don't like the rats armies but I have to admit this one looks very good! Kudos on the Fantasy Orcs's Face redesign.
They throw recent things when old things lacked in numbers. Hence. They added titans because there were none at the time of that throwback.
Those Ratmen Clans vehicles are super cool! They are my favourite OPR minis in quite a while, and now I'm even more excited to see what the rest of the army will look like. I like the orcs overall as well, though something about the Iron Brutes still doesn't look right to me. Something about their body proportions compared to the rest of them.
Love the rats! Hope they get some battle suits to proxy for other sci fi mech races
Is it just me or they listened and buffed the heads size a bit?
No, the heads are the same size. It's just different angles, programs, renders, etc. which can give a weird impression sometimes. Ultimately, the final printed model is what we're aiming for should look the best, even if it feels slightly off in a render. :)

Digging the weirdness of the rat vehicles. Often with far future vehicles I can just see the WW2 silhouette that it often is based on
OPR, thank you for listening to the community about the orc redesigns. I see what you were trying to do with the originals, but these current models are delightfully brutish! By the way, "led" is the past tense of "to lead."
They did not listen. They just admitted under my comment that they did not change the head sizes like everyone asked.
Nice Ratmen are one of my favorite looking armies in AoF and it looks like these will be added to my top 3 favorite looking armies for GF.
Are those touches of Alien Prometheus in the design of the Ratmen tanks?
Dude those rats look sick! And the tanks give me a weird 80s Dune kinda vibe I'm not sure how to describe it. But I definitely like it, it'll paint well with speed paints with all the greeblies.
I'm with you on the rats. I'm very excited. Personally, I'm wondering how the tanks will do with just a quick dry brush.

RATS! I'm very excited. I am a little surprised at how clean they look conpared to the Goblins. They're not grungy, like at all.
